Is old TB a cause for rejection for UAE VISA?

Will cured TB be a reason for rejection of UAE(Dubai) Visa?

  • had TB in the year 1998,which is cured with medication in 6 months.since then, i have no problems of TB ever. But the scars of TB are still visible in my lungs even after 11 yrs.will this be regarded as a reason for rejection?I have decided to move to dubai to pursue my career in the UAE naw.I fit and fine at now.

  • Answer:

If you're planning to pursue a career in the oil industry, hospitals, food industry, you will have to go thru the normal drill in the hospitals with special tests which are not applicable to office goers. I m speaking this through my experience that if there is a trace of TB showing in your lungs, you will not be considered for a job in the above mentioned industries.

"the scars of TB are still visible in my lungs even after 11 yrs." I Just hope and pray that you will pass the Medical test, and pursue your a better career in this country. let me tell you that most of the test results here are as long as you're xray is not clean or having spots, they would fail your test.there are many cases of that which happened here bcoz the hospitals just look at the xray without even having another test,to test if its positive...there are many medical practitioners here that are brain dead...just dont accept any results that you think is not accurate. if they fail you , make an appeal to make a cross examination ,to not just rely on the xray..

You asked the same question before. Therefore my answer is still the same: "In general a cured TB is no reason for rejection. But - it depends on your occupation. If you have an office job - fine. Working in the food industry, with kids, medical facilities, hospitality etc - no." (don't know what "naw" means). The other answerer is wrong. You will get tested for TB by taking a x-ray. Foreign medical certificates are not acknowledged by the UAE Authorities. Also a medical fitness test does not apply to all Nationalities. Take care. @Raja: what do you think the x-ray is taking for and when visas are issued of foreign medical certificates only?

i dont think it is a reson for rejection.the Visa will be arranged based on the medical report taken from your own country only. based on the list of test, the docter has to give the FIT or NOT FIT certificate. i think doctor know that u dont have the TB now, so he will give the Fit certificate. after u came to UAE here there is only the blood test, not concern about TB. you can very much start your carrier. All the Best.

I dont think you should be worried about this. But you are aware that every resident here has to undergo medicals in govt.clinics before visa is stamped on the passport, thus to be on a safer side get a drs.certificate if possible before moving in here, although it all depends on your medical reports in dubai, go for it, best of luck
