How can I travel to Dubai from Jeddah with family?

My UAE resident visa expired about a year ago now i want to travel to dubai,can i travel having a visit visa?

    In this scenario, you have 2 options: 1) Ask your husband to submit following documents at any nearest Immigration office (DNRD) to get 15 days temporary entry permit:- i) A letter in Arabic heading to Immigration officer duly signed by your husband requesting Immigration Officer to grant 15 days temporary entry permit as per Immigration rules (you can get it from any typing center) ii) your passport & visa copy iii) sponsor's (your husband's) passport copy and visa iv) Dhs.130 for issuing entry permit and Dhs.10 for overstaying more than six months calculating total numbers of overstaying days. Let's suppose, 9 months means (3x30=90x10=900+130=1030) 2) Second option is: tell your husband to cancel your expired visa (being outside country) costs Dhs.130+100=230 and get typed new entry permit for you on the same time costs Dhs.250, and follow the procedures as you got the visa before. Yes, you can travel with a visit visa to Dubai as long as you have not been blacklisted by the Immigration department on any criminal cases! Your husband will be able to apply for a visit visa for you and if you one of the 36 approved nationalities who can get a visa on arrival, you do not have to apply for it beforehand and can get it on arrival. for more details visit: www.dnrd.gov.ae

As per new law your husband must cancel your already expired visa and then can get the visit visa otherwise no. It will take only 10 minutes and around 150 dirhams to cancel your residence visa and before that you can not get any other visa as in the immigration system it will be shown that you have a visa already even its expired. As the visa is not cancelled automatically after expiry.
