Is marketing a communication course?

In Dubai, a degree in Communication or Commerce makes me more money and more job opportunities?

  • I have passion for getting into a Journalism and I also know that it is not very rewarding in the UAE so I want to join this great course in Murdoch University which can make me study two majors under Communication 1. Journalism 2. Public Relations and Advertising Or I could get into business studies and be an Auditor, or marketing officer, etc 1. Finance 2. Marketing I dont see business studies very interesting but it has good job opportunities. Do you think it is good enough?

    Journalism job opportunities is comparatively less.But asper my knowledge the main stream medias are paying better to their employees.But competition will be tough.Public relation and advertising you have little more opportunities than journalism.You can work with other than Medias too.Payment should be asper your experience and ability. Finance- You will get more opportunities.But payment will be according to your experience.For a fresh graduate will never pay good salary.Salary range is also medium as long you reach in a managerial position. Marketing - Salary is not the matter but the commission.So how able you are to market a product,asper that you will get payment. Journalism- Good package but difficult to get. Finanace- More opportunities but average Package. P&A - Oppertunities are there package asper your abilities. marketing - More oppertunities - Package asper your ability only.
