Dubai Driving License - Colorblindness in Eye Test?

• Hello Friends, I have my home country license(may be 10+ yrs old), I wend to Optician for Eye test for Driving license in Dubai, but i was unable to read the numbers doted in the paper how ever I was able to recognize Pure Red, Yellow, Green, Blue (But failed to tell light green, light yellow etc), my visibility is 100% Then Optician told me that he will give me the "FIT" but will add a clause "Can recognizer only Basic Color, Red Yellow, Green..etc) Now Kindly advice shell I present this report, & is there any possibility i could be rejected for driving license at all? I am Colour blind, and this makes me nervous, as I have heard that they take some eye test, and a colour blind person is not entertained for UAE driving license. I am doubtful whether this is true or false, If true then it means colour blind people cannot drive in UAE, I understand the signals very well... Kindly advice what should I do... Thanks in Advance...

  Why do you have an eye test for a driving permit done at an optican? The eye test will be done at the license place and colourblindness isn't no reason to deny a driver's permit. If I'm not mistaken, numbers/letters will be in black on a white background. In the UAE even people not being able to read and write can obtain a license.
