Answer:
A wife of a resident who wishes to leave her job, will not be able to transfer her sponsorship directly. Your visa needs to be canceld first and then your husband has to apply for an new entry permit. You can change your visa status by paying Dhs 500 if you don't want to leave the country and then re-enter again. The residency fees are Dhs 300 for three years. If you receive a work ban, you still can be sponsored by your husband as a housewife. You can not take up employment till the end of the work ban. As a precautionary measure everyone needs to check first with the Naturalization and Residency Department before going through the visa change process as some rules change in accordance with the development and needs. You will need a passport copy, 4 photographs and copy of entry permit. Fees are Dh 300. Also you have to obtain a medical card prior to stamping the visa in the passport. the card can be obtained from the Ministry of Health office. Requirements for visa: An application form, attested by the new and old sponsor Original passport Copy of work cards of both establishments Fees: Dh 100 For the residence visa: Copies of the labour cards of both establishments Original passport 3 photographs Medical check for HIV Application form for transferring sponsorship Attested marriage certificate Confirmation about husband's salary (min. Dh 4.000) Non objection letter from his sponsor Dh 300 for resicency fee Dh 110 additional if you need it urgently All the required document have to be translated into Arabic. If your present contract is an unlimited one, give your company a 4 weeks notice to resign. No payments to the company as long as you have fullfiled your contract. Take care and good luck!
