What’s the minimum salary required to work & live a comfortably in Dubai.?

  Hi Frank It depends up on where you come from, how long you want to live here and how do you want to spend your time here and where do you work in U.A.E. If you are going to work in Sharjah then following could be a guide line. Rent: Single bedroom - AED 90,000 P.A. Utilities (Water, Elec., net, Landline Phone) - AED12,000 P.A Estimated car Depreciation and fuel: AED 14,400 P.A. Traffic Fines, Car Registration: AED 6,000 P.A. Food, Drinking Water, Cooking Gas: AED 30,000 P.A. Clothing (On an Average): AED 12,000 P.A. Hobbies: AED 18,000 P.A.????? Sub total: AED 182,400 Retirement Fund, 16 %: AED 34,742.85 Savings, 16% : AED 34,742.85 Grand Total P.A.: AED 251,885.7 therefore P.M.: AED 20,990.475, simply AED 21,000 P.M. This is an average estimated expenses for a person with a wife irrespective of nationality and culture who wishes to live comfortably in U.A.E. If you have children then include School fees around AED 500 P.M. Shocking no? And the life in U.A.E, in weekdays you will be busy in Office and traffic. During the weekends, it is best if you have any hobbies which you would like to develop otherwise it could be an expensive affair to sit idle at home as you may end up going out and spending money like water especially Dubai has lot to offer on getting money out of its inhabitants on shopping, pubs and fun.
