• Whether the UAE Lisence Valid in UK? Can Anybody tell Whether the UAE Lisence Valid in UK.. and if at all valid how it ll b useful for me.... and whether lisence ll b useful for job there in UK... and if i took lisence there in UK how much ll be its cost... and tell me where to take UAE or UK.... right now am in UAE.... planning to move UK...

  Although there is a reciprocal agreement between the UAE & the UK and you are the holder of a full ordinary driving licence and provided your licence remains valid, you may drive vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes and with up to eight passenger seats for a period of up to 12 months from the date of arrival in the UK. However if you wish to make the UK your permanent residence, you must, within that period obtain a UK provisional licence and take and pass the driving tests, written, perception and practical. During said 12 month period, you are not subject to provisional licence conditions: displaying 'L' plates or being supervised by a qualified driver or being precluded from motorways. However, if you do not pass a test within the 12-month concessionary period you will not be allowed to drive as a full licence holder and provisional licence conditions will apply. If you do not apply for a provisional licence within the first 12 months you must stop driving and obtain a British provisional licence with a view to passing a driving test. Provisional licence conditions will then apply.
