Dubai: what is Doctor fee in dubai ? and do shop bargains in dubai ?

I am planning to visit dubai in a few days time, but wish to know a few things. What is the normal / average doctor fee in dubai ? consultancy charges / fee ? Also , i would like to know do dubai offers good bargain ? how much percentage we can bargain on ? or is it all fixed price ?

Doctor fee depends on what kind of doctor you go, what he/she has to do, if you go to a private or goverment clinic. Mine takes Dhs 300 without any spezial examinations. Get a travel health insurance. They are cheap and you do not have to worry about a thing. In the Malls you can't bargain. You can ask for a "spezial discount". Then the sales person might give you the item for 10% less. Depends also a lot an what you buy and what's the value of the purchase is. You can bargain in the souq. There bargaining is a must. Sometimes you can get things for 50% cheaper. Never say that you like the item. Act like you are not interested. Try to walk away. Mostly seller come running after you. But - this bargain is calculated in their prices and at the end: you'll get what you payed for. You can't return the item and have no warranty for it either. Take care

I'm with dxb-guy - it depends on the hospital (local gov or private) and the type of Doc A General Doc in a private hospital can cost you Dhs50 and then a Specialist Dhs100 (Gyn, ENT, etc) or in another hospital A Gen Doc can cost you Dhs100 and then a Specalist Dhs250 or more in some other hospitals

Doctors fees differs. Each doctor charges different fees to different patients. Dubai is excellent for a shopping spree. In a gold shop or in a mall you cannot bargain anything while outside in the market you can negotiate a little bit For shopping for Mobile phones or electronics visit www.dubai-mobiles.net

Doctor Consultation charges may vary from Dhs.50/- to Dhs.250/- (1 USD = 3.675 AED) per visit and medicines are over and above that. If you are visiting Dubai on a visit visa than suggest you get a medical insurance. Dubai offers very good bargains.. and depends on what you want to buy. If you are in malls than please dont bargain because everything is fixed. If you are shopping on the streets in Bur Dubai and Deira, remember to always bargain by 60%.
