Are all food in Emirates Airlines Halal (in islamic condtion)?

Im going to travel in Emirates Airlines in economy class. I was wondering its an airline from middle east however dubai is high class. Are all the meals halal or do I have to order special muslim meal? Thanks

The food is halal but alcohol is also served optionally. That's the case with Qatar Airlines, Gulf Air too. And I know Kuwait Airways doesn't serve alcohol. I'm telling you this because I've found seen some folks get irked when their food is served alongside alcohol.

I think it would depend on what catering company / airport they fly from. And also on what other airlines they share resources with (i.e. alliances). You can ask their airport staff about this. If say you are flying from a non-muslim city then chances are they are using the local companies / airline catering there to prepare the food. If you are flying from a muslim city then it is halal , since that would be the type of meat they get from that particular area. edit: last time I traveled the Japanese guy who was setting next to me brought food from home wrapped in aluminum foil. May be some airports wont let passengers carry food. On some airlines you can order a McDonalds meal ;).

If i were you, and uncertain...i just request for a muslim meal. Doesn't cost you anything, just remind them upon check-in. Have a safe journey..
