What is the Execution Fee on a passport?

DUBAI, UAE - Do I have to pay overstay fee while my passport was with "DUBAI" court when my visa expired?

  • Hi, I resigned a company and I got 30 days to leave country, I have joined a new company and they were about to process my visa when I get caught by police for driving under the influence of alcohol and my passport was submitted to court for bailment. The court has given me my passport back after 4 months alongwith a letter that "His passport was with us from this date to this date". Now my question is Do I still have to pay the overstay fee now when my new employer is applying for my visa? or if the immigration do not accept the letter from court, how to deal with this? how to reduce the overstay fee as low as possible?

  • Answer:

Yes you have to pay. It just happened that the incident with the ministry of justiice occured near your expiration, but the fine exists within a seperate gvmt dept. The letter is just to show you have not absconded or ignored the visa date.

Probably yes, you have to pay overstay fines, because it was your behaviour which caused your passport was confiscated. You need the PRO from your new company (if he has "wasta") to try to ease the "pain" at immigration Good luck and next time stay off the booze..................................
