Are indian nationals eligible for Dubai's 96 hours transit visa at the airport?

• Hi, I am holding an Indian passport. The Emirates websites says that as an Indian National, I am required to get my visa stamped before departure. At the same time, the website says that a 96 hours Transit visa can beissued at the Dubai airport to anyone who has booked at least one leg of their flight via Emirates airlines. My question is : If I am holding Indian passport and wish to tour Dubai only for 3 days (within 96 hours) on my next trip to India, do I have to get the 96 hrs visa stamped beforehand or can it be issued at the airport? (Assuming I am booking my flight through Emirates). Thanks in advance.

  For all Nationalities excluding Isaraelis or visitors with an Israeli stamp in their passport who can not obtain a visa up-on- arrival: 96-hour Visa for Transit PassengersTransit passengers stopping at Dubai International Airport for a minimum of 5 hours are eligible for obtaining a 96-hour transit visa to go on a city tour of Dubai. This is a special type of visa which applies to passengers passing through UAE airports. For those who will travel Emirates Airlines can be arrange by the airlines itself. But for those flying through another Airlines, they have to contact directly the Marhaba Services, the details of which are as follows: Marhaba Services Tel: 2164629 (Visa Section) Tel: 2062709 (Main Office in the Airport) E-mail: [email protected] Passengers can travel without prior arrangement of transit visa. As soon as they arrive at the airport they have to approach any of the Marhaba staff and they will be guided to the Marhaba Visa counter for any arrangement. This special 96 hours visa is the only visa issued by Emirates Airlines. Any other visit visas would have to be applied in advance as an Indian passport holder. Take care!
