Is old TB a cause for rejection for UAE VISA?

Will cured TB be reason for UAE (Abu Dhabi) visa rejection?

  • just to update a question (of "diego") which i found here, and is similar to my case now, but he asked this about 2yrs ago already... "I had TB in the year 1997, which was cured with medication in 8 months. Since then, i have no problems of TB eversince, since i was able to work in my country for 12yrs++ and we have Annual Physical Exam which i was always given a "Fit to Work" certificate by a Cardio-Pulmonologist Doctor (after undergoing confirmatory Sputum Test which show NEGATIVE), but he cautioned that the scars of TB will still visible in my lungs even after so many years. Now, i'm in UAE under my Wife's sponsorship and i just undergo xray and now they are telling me that i will be DEPORTED because they find "suspect of TB". Will this be regarded as a reason for rejection of issuance of a Residence Permit? NO other test was done to confirm their initial (xray) findings. Thank you for your URGENT & VALUABLE inputs/advise.

  • Answer:

if your x-rays have symptoms of TB they will not do any further investigation and suspicion of TB alone by X-ray is enough to reject your visa application. Nobody can do anything about it and they will not do any thing more.
