Moving to Dubai for my fianaces work! But I have no qualifications?

I am looking to work as a teacher in Dubai (UAE) and moving with my 1yr, can she come without my husband?

  • I am married and I am looking at moving to Dubai (or anywhere in UAE) to work as a teacher. As my husband is self employed he will be coming out initially for 5 weeks and then will be returning to UK, he is planning to move out permanently 6-10 months later. As we have a daughter, i want to keep her with me, and my husband is fine with that. Can i live ok in Dubai or UAE with just me and my daughter or does it break any laws/cultural barriers?? please let me know, asap Thank you

  • Answer:

Yes, you can sponsor your daughter and husband. In Dubai it's a matter of your salary. If your salary is AED 10K and up and you willl provided with a NoC of your company/school. In Abu Dhabi women being a teacher, a nurse or an engineer are allowed to sponsor a family, same financial requests. Means, you are good in both Emirates. Please note, that it is necessary to negotiate a salary package including housing. Otherwise you will not be able to pay rent, schooling/nursery etc. Depending your degrees and experience, your salary can be up to AED 20K monthly. Please note, that you need your husband's permission to bring your daughter. This permission should be authorized and attested. Good luck.

You can if you are getting a very good pay. Teachers in this part of the world, or for that matter anywhere in the world are not really well-paid. So if you are planning to work as a school teacher, your salary may not really fall in the minimum bracket to single handedly manage yours and your childs expenses. So make sure your salary is high enough, not only to sponsor your child but also to meet the expenditure and cost of living in Dubai.
