Free VOIP calling from Dubai to India?

  • hi, want to understand what is the current scene of VOIP calling in Dubai. From what i understand VOIP calling softwares like Skype is banned in Dubai and you can't use it. I am going to shift there soon and average calling would be 4-5 hrs a day. I want to understand 1. Is any mobile VOIP calling software working in Dubai? Such as tango mobile for iphone etc where i can make call over network to other mobile having the same software in India. eg. iphone to iphone with tango mobile or geevee or blackberry to blackberry or if any android app is able to do it. this would the best option for me. Don't mind buying a new mobile for myself. 2. PC to mobile calling software such as skype which costs less than the rates both mobile providers in Dubai. 3. Is there any calling cards where i can call on a toll free number and make cheap calls to India. 4. can i get a local access number such as a local number in India calls on which gets automatically redirected to my number in Dubai. 5. Does voice chat software like Yahoo or gtalk work in Dubai or are they banned as well? 6. Can I have a voice chat on yahoo installed on any of the phone which would work in Dubai. Again I am pretty much open to buy a new phone. If any of you can help with this i woudl be really grateful. I can't avoid heavy calling back in India but the rates as visible on du and etisalat sites will cost me a fortune.

of course , "free" is less not only than the 2 mobile providers , but the world. Any way , what do you need to chat about for 5 hours a day with people India, if this is true you are not going to have time to work here so better stay where you are now because no provider in UAE can beat the free local calls you are enjoying now.
