How hard is it to get into University of Cape Town?

Is it difficult to get into University of Cape Town?

I was interested in going to UCT in a couple of years. I'm in high school in the US. So I was wondering if it would be difficult to get accepted since I live in a different country.

Most of the students are thick,begging troublemakers so if you fall into that category you will be fine.You just have to attend every day to get a worthless Degree.

Um, well here in SA UCT really does prefer to take private school kids. They can be a bit obnoxious ( the uni not the kids) I think coming from AMerica you shouldn't struggle too much. Just do well and try to get at least a B in every subject. Its a really rad uni and you'll have a lot of good times! BYW if you do go make sure you go to Tiger Tiger, Tin Roof and Jozi!

If you're from a foreign country you must be very rich (at least, that is what officials at UCT seem to think). They really charge hefty fees for overseas students. You are much better off studying your first degree at home and then doing a masters of phd in Cape Town.
