Is any1 on here a paramedic or doctor?

Can you become a doctor from being a paramedic in south africa?

  • I really need an honest answer because in my matric i didnt have great marks for medice,so now i am a paramedic pls help

  • Answer:

no. you need a medical qualification, which i believe to be 5 years of studying, and thereafter one needs to do 2 years articles or pract work, and also do board exams. this question is like asking: I want to be a Charted Accountant, but I am a bookkeeper currently. you need to go through stringent avenues to get where you wanna be. In regards to your low matric marks, you should do a bridging year before starting your medical studies, one where you almost redo the subjects you did poorly in matric. that way, you can rewrite the exams and study hard to get you marks up. Im sure any university will allow for this. contact them for more information.

No I don't think so. If you want to be a doctor you must pass with exemption then you can go to university to study for 7years they say. What you can do now you can go to a FET college to redo matric and get good results then you can go to unirvesity and become a doctor. Its never too late.
