Where's the best place to go on safari in south africa?

The best place and probably the most popular would be the Kruger National Park, its massive! Although I saw alot more animals in Pilansburg as it is considerably smaller in size so animals are easier to spot. Also close by is Sun City, wonderful holiday :)

Zimbabwe is fantastic for Safari's. Canoeing down the Zambezi is great too. The Okavango Swamps are amazing. namibia is great too - Etosha is wonderful. Natal has some good game parks. Hluhluwe comes to mind. A lot depends on your budget!

Anywhere in Kwa-Zulu Natal

There are so many options available to you in South Africa that it is difficult to recommend any one game park. You do need to remember though that the Eastern and Western Province game parks are malaria free. There is one game park near Port Elizabeth that is shockingly expensive, even for tourists. Most of the private parks cater for overseas tourists and they should have a mask and a gun because of the prices they demand. They are a pure rip off. Very very few South Africans can afford to go to these places because of the incredibly exorbitant prices. You can see almost everything you need to see meaning the Big 5, Elephant, Hippo, Rhino, Lion, Leopard etc etc at the National game parks which are clean tidy, and reasonably priced. Most of them have accomodation available and do night drives and guided drives. Addo Elephant Park near Port Elizabeth is very good. If you want to see wonderful scenery by 4 X 4 then the Baviaans Kloof is a good one. Not a Game park but a wilderness area and you will need to be guided.Go onto SA Tourism and look for the National game parks. You will not be disappointed at all. Have fun and enjoy.
