If One Got Your Law Degree In England, Can You Come Try And Get An Law Degree In South Africa?
-
UK Law degree is not equivalent to an SA Law degree, so can you?
-
Answer:
Because the 3 year UK degree is not recognised in South Africa as the SA LLB is a 4 year degree incorporating an "Honours" year I would advise that you approach the university of your choice and determine which subjects your existing degree will give you credit for in terms of a South African LLB. The next step would be to then enroll in the LLB course and complete those subjects which are required for you to complete your LLB. Once you have achieved all the requirements for an LLB degree in South Africa then you should be in a position to be admitted - provided you have met ALL of the requirements for admission as I mentioned in my previous answer.
