Tips for getting a job please?

Getting a job in Jeddah? PLEASE ANSWER ME! I'd greatly appreciate it!?

• Hello all, I am pretty keen on getting a job in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.... i heard that it is a pretty modern and more liberal city compared to other cities in KSA, and i am really willing to go there and work there for some time. I am living in another country right now, and looking for opportunities to work full time and if possible, study part time... Can you please give me some tips regarding how I can actually get a job CERTAINLY? Thanks in advance for your attention guys!

  You need to be a Saudi citizen, or apply for a job with a company in Jeddah. If you're accepted, then you can apply for a work visa and the company will sponsor you. However, you will have to be very careful to always obey the law. I.e, you will be your company's responsibility, you will have to live on a Western housing compound with other expats who work locally, and you will have to abide by the sex segregation laws and wear a cloak and headscarf if you're a woman. If you're a woman, you will not be allowed to drive a car, but you will be allowed to take taxis if you're in Jeddah. And some restaurants and places are a bit more relaxed about sex segregation in Jeddah. As for study: There is the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, this is a coed international university. There are also single sex universities that may take international students, however if you go to one of these and you're a woman, you will be restricted in the subjects you can take, and possibly you may have a curfew or may not always be allowed outside the university grounds. VERY IMPORTANT: 1. Saudi Arabia is not like Europe. You cannot just go on a working holiday, and study work do whatever you like for a year or two. You MUST be sponsored by a company or a university and live on campus or on a housing compound. 2. DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT working as a domestic servant in Saudi Arabia. Too many women have been taken advantage of by pervert employers, held captive and raped. The Police WON'T help you.
