Can I get work permit in Qatar?

I have a saudi Iqama/ Work permit, so do i need to have a visa for qatar or would i get it from the border?

    You failed to mention about the profession you are having in your Iqama. Recently an acquiantance of mine from Abu Dhabi was refused entry as his Work Permit says he is an electrician although he works as an engineer. What I thought about Qatar Immigration is that a short term/stay visa can be issued in the boarder for those GCC expats with valid resident permits and professional working visa like Engineers, Doctors, Accountants, etc. I doubt thos those having technical/vocational, domestics, labours, etc work permit holders. Kindly do check with Qatar Consulate or Embassy near to you or with Qatar Airlines or any other travel agency - they can give you their expert advice.

You can get a visa from the border. It costs 100 Qatari Riyals. Make sure you have a credit card or take some Qatari money. I think you can pay for the car insurance in Saudi Riyals, but not the visa.
