How much spending money should i take to morocco for a 10 day trip?

    As other's have noted it very much depends on where you're going and whether you plan to stay put or travel. If your simply seeking winter sun then Agadir would be best and could work out very cheap if you're on a budget. For example if you book a hotel like the Sud Bhai online it would only cost about £9 a night B&B. Eating out could cost as little as 20DH for a plate dish or 55DH for a 3 course set menu in one of the beach cafes. Travelling around Agadir can be done on foot or for between 5-20DH depending on where in AGadir your going. Alcohol is probally expensive but I dont drink so dont know. The beach is free as is walking around. You could probally get by on £200 for 10 days if you were frugal. If however you plan to travel around thats a different matter and will of course cost more. I doubt very much whether you would need more than £500 for 10 days where ever you go unless of course you want to live it up in style! Have a nice trip.

it really depends on how you want to spend your money. you can find reasonable hostel at 400 dh per two person in most cities. nice riad might charge you 1200-2000. low end hotels can be as low as 150 per person with share bathroom. for food, set menu at medium cafes is about 70-100 dh, need to pay extra for drinks. candle night dinners can be 500 dh with wine with performance. quick sandwich or small fast food stall can go as low as 25-30 dh. for transportation, a bus trip will cost some 80 dh for 3-4 hrs ride but some old buses with shaky floors and rattling windows might charge you 50. if you choose to charter a grand taxi, it will be 400-500 dh. then, you need to think about what you will buy. small sovenirs will be only 10-20 dh per piece, but nice handmade leather jackets or bags can be hundreds or even thousand, depending on your bargaining skills. i bought a jellabah for 110 dh but some other guy paid 500 dh. there are also silver wares, procelains, all have wide range of price. entrance fee will be minimal compared with museums in europe or us. usually will be 10-30 dh per visit. the most expensive one as far as i know is the grand mosque in casablanca which ask for 100 or 120 dh. if you join some local tours, the cheap ones will charge around 400-500dh per day, but some would be more like a chartered service and the price is 2-3 times. enjoy your trip...

It really depends where you are going and whether or not you want to buy lots of Moroccan trinkets and souvenirs., whether you eat in white cloth restaurants ,whether you want to drink alcohol or not etc. My ideas would be : 250 dirhams for taxis. 2,000 dirhams for food. 2,000 dirhams for entertainment. 2,000 dirhams for shopping. 2,000 dirhams for drinks. 2,000 dirhams for extras. All told that adds up to about 900 pounds sterling. A cheap holiday in anyone's book. But you can do it a way cheaper, if you cut out the upmarket stuff and the grog.
