Is it safe for American to go to live in Lebanon? Need to know if its safe for my family?

lol u will enjoy it and it is a pretty place but u cant guarantee that something isnt gonna blow up in ur face at any time the middle east in general aint safe but people are still living arent they and its not like in america u'd be safe either...serial killers..rapists...kidnappers..school shootings...republicans..etc etc. so of course lebanon isnt 100% safe but no place is

Lebanon is pretty amazing and very beautiful and the most friendly people you will ever meet...is it safe? Yes sure it is..I would trade your spot if my husband could find a matched salary in Lebanon. Look, maybe the situation is not very good at times but it's relatively safe. I do no... maybe, it depends on where your planning to live also. Have you spent anytime in Lebanon? You cant go by what everyone is telling you especially if they have not been to Leb and are translating what they see and hear on CNN. My best advise being American and visiting Lebanon is to go spend a few weeks and get to know the culture and areas that your thinking to live. You can also buy DVD's on Lebanon and culture etc.. on Ebay and Amazon. Lot of Video etc...on Youtube. I am a Lebanese Myself, And You would Enjoy Life Here Alot. Very healthy environment for growing up a kid and such. The threat of Criminals and terrorism Is all over the world. Not Only In here. And About the American Embassy or somtn....It's normal since we have had our fair of problems. Hope You Enjoy your Life P.S: No...People dont tend to get diseases over-here, And we are a very developed country Medical Wise.

Yeah,it's Safe! Dont listen to everything other say,Not everything said is right ..You will find complete safety but nowhere! Being in Danger and being unsafe is found everywhere,plus who told you that they are anti american there ?! ... Try to find out american people who had been to Lebanon to give you the complete picture not only the frames It's even a beautiful amazing country with sweet friendly people ..

hello, first of all PLS dont listn to what the ppl or media say caus most of the time its not true!Lebanon is the opposite of what u hear abt on T.V Lebanon is a mixed culture(with eastern nd western influences) so it"ll be like living in 2 places at once! also the lebanese love life nd they struggle to over come the countries religious nd political conflicts. u can never be safe enough in any place if u ask me so go there experience life nd im sure ur gona love the weather,the ppl nd the food yummy!

Hi, I am an American woman and I live in Lebanon with my husband who is Lebanese. I can tell you that as far as the crime rate is concerned, Lebanon is very safe - much safer than the states. I have been all over the country from Hezbollah controlled areas to Tripoli where there are known to be fundamentalist groups. I have never felt like a target or received any anti-American attitudes. But, in Lebanon as you know from time to time there are explosions or political conflicts which can be scary for us Americans.
