Nairobi, Kenya, Tips and recommendations?

I'm accompanying a friend to Nairobi soon. While she has conferences all day, I will be free to be a tourist. What are must-see must-do in and around Nairobi? I can't travel to other cities (so no Mombasa advice please) and it has to take less than a day including travel and activity. I'm going for five days, so maybe one major activity per day? What about nightlife? How much should I budget all up (excluding hotels and meals). Ideas, tips, advice, pricing...?

Definitely make sure you visit Carnivore - the restaurant and music/dancing at night. Whatever you do, avoid Florida 2000 (its a cheap club full of "girls of the night" & mostly frequented by tourists) Also, there are tons of decent clubs/shopping/restaurants in Westlands. Be aware of your surroundings and don't carry alot of cash on you. Enjoy!!!
