What should i pack to kenya as in clothes?

  • so im going o kneya in december this is my first time going to kenya in winter so i dont know what to pack because there in kenya it will be hot and i will have like long pants with sweaters so what should i carry!

    which part of Kenya are you traveling to? if its coast bring light cloths for Mombasa is hot if its Nairobi pack some warm cloths fro it gets chilly at night if we knew where you will be heading we could have given you exact answers

I have no idea what part of the country you'll be in most of the time so I'm going to assume you'll be in Nairobi. It is NOT hot in Nairobi, in fact it gets downright cold in the evening. Bring exactly what you'd wear at home. If you're missing something once you're there, just go shopping. You can find anything in Nairobi.

the weather in Kenya is generally warmer especially during December compared to parts of the world that experience winter. you won't need a parka in Nairobi or Mombasa maybe a light one for evenings and early mornings. I always marvel at how foreigners get by with just shorts and t-shirts while at the same time the average Kenyan is freezing. I wish I could quote the temperatures in Nairobi is usually 20 something degrees and Mombasa and Kisumu it's warmer. other places are cooler but nowhere near winter. you should include a cap or hat I always carry one when I have errands in the middle of the day. don't forget sun block either.

What is your purpose, Lifestyle e.t.c But generally it is usually warm around December in Nairobi and sometimes there may be showers of rainfall... (Weather pattern changed though). Temperatures around December is around 25 Degrees and lowest is abt 14 Degrees Celsius. Let clothing be suitable for that type of climate. Also don't forget to carry some Swahili Language with you.. Coz the NAtional Language is Swahili (but good percentage of residents can speak good English). English is just official Language.
