Vaccinations for Kenya?

  • I am due to travel to Kenya next February and was wondering if anyone could advise me on which one's I will need and roughly how much they will cost? I understand that to some degree the cost is down to the Doctor, but I need to know a rough cost to see if I have enough money before pay day. Also when do I need to have them all? I know some are months in advance. Cheers!

  • Answer:

No vaccinations are mandatory for Kenya, so it is best NOT to have any. Do NOT get vaccinated. A vaccinated person is MORE likely to get a disease than a non-vaccinated person. The whole theory of vaccination is flawed. It causes a weakening of the immune system thus making those who are innoculated more susceptible to disease. There are so many awful side effects to vaccination that it should be considered extremely dangerous. Just sit back and think for a while. Is there any sense in injecting a disease directly into your body. We have been subjected to an awful mind control program to enable the drug manufacturers to make a fortune. The Vaccination Hoax http://www.whale.to/b/hoax1.html If you go to the vaccination liberation web page, at http://www.vaclib.org/exemption.htm You will find all the forms necessary to provide exemption for your child. check cdc.gov for immunization advice. other than the usual vaccinations (tetanus, hepatitis..) Malaria prophylaxis is usually recommended you don't need typhus or yellow fever in general for kenya, but it always depends on WHERE you are from AND where you are going in Kenya (Nairobi vs. beach vs. Safari and so on) plus it's impossible to say how much it will cost since we don't know where you are from! In most of Europe all vaccinations would be free or low copay for the doctor's visit. in the us... depends on your insurance i guess... as far as WHEN - make an appointment early because certain things such as malaria prophylaxis have to be started weeks before you go!

You should take Malaria medication, although on my last trip my insurance company said that the medication was not covered for preventative purposes, only for the treatment of Malaria. We also needed to get Yellow Fever vaccines when traveling between Egypt and Kenya, although the previous two trips to Kenya, it was not required due to flying into Nairobi from London. So, if you have a layover somewhere, then it may change your needed vaccination. Have a great trip.

Well when I travel I tell my doctor and I am with Kaiser and they will give you a list of all the shots and they will give you a bag of all the medicines you need and will call you when you need the shot so call your doctor

First of all, we need to know where you're coming from coz different places have different conditions, and 2nd, you have to organise this with your doctor to book you in for an appointment. This is done by appointment only.
