Is it legal to bring sand back from kenya, mombasa?

  • I'm going to kenya,mombasa in may, and really want to bring some sand back as a souvenir for myself and a few friends, im planning on taking glass test tubes/viles with me and filling them, is that legal? to then bring them back in my luggage? or not?i hope it is! let me know please, last thing i want is to be stuck in the airport due to illegal goods.

    There is nothing illegal about it. You should consider the permits of the country you're flying back to. For example Australia has a reallys strong import policy but if you wish you can take shells and sand sample from their beaches back home.
