What are some must see things in Israel?

Just to add a little perspective..?

  • Well, a lot of people are wondering why the Palestinians refuse to acknowledge Israel's right to exist. But there is a very simple explanation for that. They simply don't believe it has the right to exist. Look at it this way. The Native Americans were living in North America first, right? But settlers and immigrants kept on coming, until eventually, the Native Americans were forced on to reservations, etc. But what if the Native Americans recieved enough foreign aid to kick us (the US citizens) out? What if millions of american citizens were forced to either become refugees and flee the country, and the rest of forced to live in a teeny tiny part of land. We would be pretty mad, woudn't we? I mean, sure, the Native Americans were here first, but we had been living on that land for hundreds of years! We would still view the land as ours, no matter what. We would never, ever give it up, and we would keep fighting for it. So, if you look at things from a Palestinian's point of view, you can see why they might not want to recognize Israel's right to exist. Sure, it's great that Jews now have a national home, but the Palestinians don't have a home now. There has to be another solution.

  • Answer:

Why weren't Palestenians so tied to the land when Jordan ruled over the West Bank until 1967? Where were the cries and screaming of being tied to a homeland? Listen, I understand the Palestenian cause, I am Israeli and I support the two state solution and am a "left-ist" if you want to call it that. But there are currently two Palestenian states: Israel and Jordan. Palestine is BOTH sides of the Jordan River. To the east is Jordan, the west is Israel. I don't like violence, fighting, hatred; I just want peace. And I fully understand Arabs' ties to the land. But the Palestenian cause, as it is portrayed to the rest of the world through the media, is not that valid. Edit: @Sameer 1) The original plan was for the Jews to have half of Israel and the Arabs to have the other half. The Jews rejoiced in finally having a homeland. The Arabs responded by waging an all out war. That just shows an unwillingness to cooperate. 2) You're just showing your stupidity and incompetency by saying things like, "Why isn't it called the Palestine River?" Read up- look up what PALESTINE actually means.

Makes perfect sense. It really is unbelievable how people could ignore the sufferings of the Palestinians. The Jews should have a home, but not in Palestine and not at the expense of the Palestinians or any other people.

I do not believe in Israel's right to exist ( as a political or religious entity) at least in this part of the world. This does not deny the Jewish right for descent life among other religions and races. The approach Israel was established in accordance with is: 1- Deception. Palestine had never been the home land of the Jews who had been nomads all over their history. They are originally nomads who came from Mesopotamia to Palestine 3700 years ago, moved to Egypt to spend 450 years there, 40 years in Sinai Peninsula, 150- 200 years in Canaan, Then David and his son Solomon established their kingdoms for 72 years. Following the collapse of those kingdoms other smaller kingdoms were established in different locations to sum 300 years till the year 600 BC when the Assyrians captured 10 tribes out of the 12 Israelite tribes and took them away from Palestine and they never come back The remaining 2 tribe were captured by the Babylonians earlier and by the year 60 AD the Romans expelled them out of the land, Then came the Muslims who took over the land for the last 1400 years till Israel was established 2- Myth, the claim that God gave them that promised land is coming only from one source which is their Holy book, \When you examine that book you will find it no more than a human invention that was written in the days of chaos by different authors who did not even bother reading what the other authors wrote earlier so come contradictions even in defining the promised land borders 3- Unfairness, Israel was established on the misery of another people, the Palestinians To erect this claimed state of God, now we have 6 million Palestinian refugees 1.5 millions of them are living in camps for more than 60 years(since 1948) 4- Old times approach of states built on religious basis 5- Jungle laws where the strong forces the weak to submit to his will I can go on for long defending my point of view but I gave you only some examples for that. Using the native Americans case to support the Israeli claims is like saying John killed Magda, why I am not allowed to kill Lola?

@ Head of radio....If the Palestinians had ALL West of river Jordan, will you ,the "left-ist",still love peace and dislike violence and fighting. Then Zionism fails. and by the by,since Palestine is on both sides of the river, why it is called river Jordan. It should be called river Palestine or israel ...... -------------------- Empty head...It was the zionist illegal immegrants who started the war. They turned against the Palestinians and the British and started their terrorism against both .Palestine is to the west of river Jordan. If your empty arguement valid ,then Syria should claim the lot.

So for example all the "new" Americans flee to Rhode Island. There they are, surrounded by 49 other far bigger states, all with "native" americans. The country is vast and empty and full of space... but no, they want that Rhode Island. Because to have a land of 40 miles wide which is not theirs, they cannot have that. Even if historically, these "new" Americans have 3000 years of history there, they only came back after having been expelled for the 3td time. Sure, nice to add perspectives, but there are very, very, very many.

Yes, lets add a little perspective. The first native Americans", new evidence suggests, using DNA and advanced dating systems, were not related to any living native American Indians and may even have been caucasians. The early Americans, according to evidence within rmitochondrial DNA, Kennewick man is unrelated to any living 'native American Indians." This evidence would have caused a recall of history books around the world. The skeleton was confiscated by the government. So called 'native American indians' later buried it under three tons of cement out of fear of losing special rights and the government saved billions ( rewriting all the high school and college text books ain't cheap, but who knows for sure why they hid this from the public) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Iq-kC-lJWw&feature=related http://whitelocust.wordpress.com/2010/10/06/politically-incorrect-genocide/ In regard to Palestine, again, go back a little further in history and we find that the story is more complex than what you are told, too. around 3,200 years ago Abraham purchased property which he left to his nephew and adopted son, Isaac. He left it to Israel, Abraham had purchased property from the original indigenous people of that region, generally referred to as Canaanites. A story mentioned in the Bible is about a Philistine named Abimelech, which literally means in Hebrew "King of the Fathers" because he was o fertile. After Abraham;s half sister-wife spent a short time with him, although she never was pregnant before, she returned home, pregnant. Abimelech had a talk with God who tells him "I know what you have done...." and tongue in cheek, suggests to Abimelech, "You did not touch her," because Abraham might kill the child he fathered. But Abimelech felt innocent because Abraham hadn't divulged to Abimelech she was more than just a sister to him when he 'took' her, which basically meant her consent was not given. Abraham purchased land from a Canaanite by the name of Ephron which he passed down to all his descendants who are known as Israelites.) extensive research.http://www.mormonsinshock.com/DNABOM.htm Volcanic explosions in the Greek Islands had driven refugees to the desert in what is modern day Palestine, the name adopted after Rome destroyed Israel scattering survivors. Abimelech's Philistines were from the Aegean Sea, and were likely survivors of a place Plato called, in Timaeus, "Atlantis." After Rome invaded they destroyed Israel even in name. They referred to the land as Palestine. Israelites who had some PhilisPhilistine from Abraham's sister, Sarah, were killed, enslaved, or fled. Those men who stayed behind were enslaved. The women were forced into brothels, their male infants were murdered. .http://www.archaeology.org/9703/newsbriefs/ashkelon.html The Israelite/Philistine descendants had their bloodline forcefully mixed with Roman invaders genes at the brothels. The offspring were forced to become Catholic until Rome fell and Arabia invaded the land of the Canaanites/Philistines/Israelites. Tthe RThe goal was to wipe the memory of Israel out because they had fought Rome so stubbornly. Thus, the name Palestine. The downtrodden people who remain and had not been allowed to flea as most did became labeled Palestinians. The former Judeans, or Jews, were first forced to convert to Christianity then, under the onslaught of Islam, to the religion of Mohammud. Israelite descendants in Eastern Europe were nearly wiped out by Hitler. No one wanted to give them back their property so instead the concentration camp survivors who put into a nearly waterless and completely oil desert that was a small portion of land owned by Israelites, only the size of the tiny state of New Jersey. The desert people already there were all given an opportunity to become Israeli citizens but after being Muslims for the last thousand years they did not want to live in a democracy but under an Islamic dictatorship so only a few stayed on and today they enjoy all the rights of other Israeli citizens, to vote although they are exempted from mandatory military service. Once Israel included Lebanon, Jordan and more, Muslims began to murder and expell the indigenous 'Palestinians" who were all mixed up by now, so Israel allowed some to settle in Gaza in refugee camps so they wouldn't all be massacred by the Arab rulers of Jordan and syria. Arabs don't want them back in their areas and want them to get rid of the non Muslim state of Israel so they refuse to let them come home .to the other areas of 'Palestine" which was called Israel until Rome conquered israel and changed it to Palestine.
