Can you have a phone from one company and have another company's plan?

I want to get a long term mobile phone plan with unlimited data in Israel, which one is the best plan?

I will arrive to Israel in October 2010 and i will live there for at least two years. I want to get an Iphone 4 (I know it will be available until mid-September) or Blackberry with unlimited data transfer. I know there are three companies in Israel, Cell com, Orange and Pelephone. Wich company and plan is the best for my needs?
