When is the best time of year (weather vise) to travel to Israel?

I've been wanting to go for several years but I never got a chance to. Now that I can get time off work I want to plan a trip there, but I don't know the best time a year to go. Of course I'll wait for the things to calm down first, but it is the number one place I want to see in the world.
Answer:

It is hot in summer, but I have also been there in March, the winters are very cold. But you can take solace in the fact that most places over there have air conditioning. I would go late spring or autumn if you don't like extreme weather.

the best time of the year to travel to israel is between may-july, or september-november, when its not too hot or cold, when the weather is just right. Great choice and I know you will love it, lots to see and do and people are great warm and friendly. I have just come back from a visit and it was very secure.

Simple. Just avoid the summer heat. It gets very very strong, humid and unpleasant. Plus its not always the best smelling place in the city with garbage, cats and urine (true). As with any Asian city. I love April there.
