Which is a better place to live, Israel or the UK (READ CARFULLY)?
-
Only considering the cultural differences of a strictly religion place (Israel) or choice of religion (UK)? Does living in a place like Israel with strict religious laws affect peoples behaviour towards others around them and prevent crime or not? Or would Israel be a better place if the place if it encouraged all religions like the UK?

I think you mixed up here, dude. Israel is not a theocracy. It doesn't have strict laws of religion.

" No give me Britain anytime. If Israel could treat its neighbours as Britain treats ALL of its citizens they too could be like Britain. A true democracy" Bulldog is very ignorant of the facts. For a minority, you're much better off living in Israel than in Britain. Britain has one of the highest racist incidents per capita in the European Union and is far from "multi-cultural." 85% of the population is WHITE CHRISTIAN. Israel's population is 75% Jewish. Of those Jews, 40% come from 100+ different countries including 25 Muslim states. The other 40% are natives and the rest are from North America/Canada. ~20% of the population are Arabs, 2% are druze and a few thousand russian/germans. Israel is far more culturally mixed and tolerant than Britain. Britain has seen huge protests against minorities recently. Britain is a very very racist country just read the guardian.

Britain is a multi racial country with many different religions colours and creeds which has not need for segregation walls or road blocks where everyone can travel wherever he or she pleases. Where the law applies to all alike. Where there is no need to have armed troops patrolling the streets . Where crime is much the same as most other countries. As for the right to protect themselves Britain had its share of German bombings and later from the IRA campaign but Britain survived both without the paranoia that there is in Israel.. No give me Britain anytime. If Israel could treat its neighbours as Britain treats ALL of its citizens they too could be like Britain. A true democracy

Interesting question but you have one thing very wrong Israel is a secular country. It doesn't NOT have strict religious laws. People are not forced to practice any religion The country is democratic and the legal system is is actually quite similar to the Brittish one. Israel recognizes all religions and there are Muslims and Christians as elected members of Parlimeny

Israel IS more religious than Britain, but far from being as you picture it.. and there is freedom of religion. The legal system is quite similar to the British one, actually. Anyways, I've never been to Britain much less lived, but I've been to Israel and I love it. There are so many peoples and cultures from all over the world (ALL over the world) blending together, very nice.

The UK without any doubt.

@ Bull Dog Brit You know the muslims especially the Palestinians hate your precious Britain just as much as Israel right? Anyhow, majority of Israel is secular. There are orthodox neighborhoods and there are secular. There are arab neighbors also. Culturally, Israel is just like the United States. Every nationality and race lives in Israel so its very multicultural. Also are you Jewish? Britain has been very anti israel in the past and British Jews that I have met in Israel, Left britain due to anti semitism. Britain being Anti Israel is fact, and youtube all the anti Israel lobbying in England, hundreds of videos. Tel Aviv is a whole different world which people only care about night life. I have NEVER been to Britain so I have no clue what life would be like there. I can only talk about why Jews are leaving Britain to Israel.
Such a Muslim statement... (this is not a question). I saw similar question many times before. Suddenly Muslims discover Freedom of Speech and feel enlightening Jews and other white people with real truth... However, I bet you have never was in Israel and UK and every single statement in your 'question" is wrong: 1. Israel is one of the least strictly religious countries. 2. Israel has many minorities and Israelis themselves are from many different countries. So, living in Israel affect people to be more tolerant toward others. For a Muslim it is hard to understand. 3. The problem in Israel is not between religions, but between different people. And UK has similar problem with many of the brits asking Muslims to leave. I give you benefit of doubt and would not say, that you come to this site to use our Freedoms for advancing your cause.

The UK without a second thought! Correct me if I am wrong but, in order to be established in the Jewish sector of Palestine, people have to prove that their maternal bloodline is Jewish. I believe this written inside their Law Book. I must admit though that the weather in Palestine (Israel) is a bit better, although the absence of fresh water resources is quiet disappointing. Both are great places to live. It really suits one's preferences, truthfully. Now, I have to say that you have actually a skewed perception on the religiosity of the State of Israel. It's not uncommon, but that doesn't change the fact that you make a mistake that really changes one's view of Israel. Israel is actually quite secular. It is linked to religion, since it does have more religious influences than the UK, but at the end of the day the Jewish State isn't hardcore in Jewishness. It's actually very liberal, and the majority of the Jews there are not the very religious Orthodox you would imagine. Israel has very liberal areas, Tel Aviv being the biggest example but it extends well past the Tel Aviv metropolis and is found all throughout the country. Women dressed "immodestly", pork consumption, partying, dating, pre-marital sex, abortions, legalization of homosexuality, skipping out on religious holidays, and other things are very much legal in Israel, and the population is more than likely to practice one or more, so I would throw the religious image out. With that said, there are many religious people in Israel, not just seculars. They span all over the religious spectrum, and sometimes they are such that they shun themselves out. The religious do have a disproportionate amount of influence, where it's seen in a few debates such as marriage, which is a religious institution that stands in contrast with others that are more secularly based, and the Western Wall. Also, while Israel is obviously the most encouraging to Judaism, it isn't shut out to all other religions, like you seem to imply. I really don't see the UK going out of it's way to encourage all religions, either, so I don't really get what you are getting at. Now, concerning crime, I would have to say that other factors than religion are in effect here. Israeli cities are many times safer than Western counterparts, but I've always seen that as a banding together since they are in such a difficult position. They all have to serve in the Army, so it brings them together on that level, so while it does exist it isn't bad. or so I've found. Since most Israelis aren't religious, I find that to be the bigger aspect. Concerning the religious, I'd say that they have that extra thing on them, as well, so most of them are nice. I find really zealous groups, though, do tend to be violent towards outsiders, but they stick to their neighborhoods, so they aren't too much of a factor. In the end, "better" is a relative term, since either country is actually great to live in terms of security and crime. In both, neither have strict social enforcement of behavior due to religion, with the exception of religious Jewish, Christian, Druze, or Muslim areas in Israel.
