i live there almost every year for about three months with my family, and i have to tell you tel aviv is much better than jerusalem, but then again that is my opinion, if you are a practicing jew, or maybe you arent even jewish, but jerusalem is nice. tel-aviv is not troubled and the israeli laws much resemble US laws. it is very safe in the jewish parts of the war-torn country.

Go for it! As gratvol says, "try nefesh b'nefesh!" I have two friends who just made aliyah and two more who are sorting out their finances to see if they can swing it. No regrets from the two already there. .

I'd like to make Aliyah also. Our adult daughter did so last summer with the help of Nefesh B'Nefesh and is settling in well. She likes it very much and has finished her final 'normal' Ulpan (language training). She came homw for a summer visit but will return in October for a collegiate level Ulpan, then finish her Master's at Hebrew University and teach math in Israel. Point is that Nefesh B'Nefesh was very helpful. Todah Robah, Nefesh B' Nefesh!

I have done it, and I'm glad that I did. My suggestion: if you can afford the time and money, try coming for a little while first and living as a regular and not a tourist. If you like what you see, contact Nefesh B'Nefesh and take the plunge. Best of luck!

Make a deal first ask how much they gonna pay you. If U think it's twice what you earn in US then U can do it.
