How does the "random article" in Wikipedia work?

Will the CAMERA people be "socialized" into the wikipedia "Neutral Point of View?" (NPOV)?

  • This, apparently, is the attitude Wikipedia has towards an effort by pro-Israel activists at CAMERA who call for "volunteers who can work as 'editors' to ensure" that Israel-related articles on Wikipedia are "free of bias and error, and include necessary facts and context." http://electronicintifada.net/v2/article9474.shtml I posed the question under wikipedia (http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Av9ZHsc_AXUeC9QdMiIYamHsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20080423001241AApXhLQ) Note carefully the "context" CAMERA types provide, which tends to be that Arabs who kill Jews do so because they're fanatic racist haters of Jews, while Zionists always offer compensation when they confiscate land from Arabs and only kill innocent people accidently while taking this land. Personally I've found few wikipedia entries on Israel/Palestine without similar slant. I think if wikipedia takes this attitude, they're ignoring the dedication by the pro-Israel crowd to putting out Israeli hasbera & smearing Arabs

I have noticed that too, that is why I never consider Wikipaedia a credible source of input. WikiP is good for techie matters, social celebrities info, sports and general health. I do not agree 100% with you, simply because there are fine people contributing to its database from both, the Arab and the Jewish side. I can understand your point of view though, since its common knowledge that the Jewish people always try to control the public opinion in various ways. This can work in places like the US but I seriously doubt that the rest of us can be influenced by some fanatic and biased writings. However this is my personal opinion. It doesn't mean it is right or anything of course.

Many I know claim the other side has been doing it for ages, long before "CAMERAS" . Sounds to me like one of these MATZA BLOOD story's.

One of the things I have always liked about wikipedia is that it reminds me when a claim has a footnote or lacks a citation so I can make up my own mind about the reliability of the source and the viability of the claim. What CAMERA has often done is point out errors in text or added information to create in the readers' minds, a better sense of an experience than a particular news story provided on its own. If you go through the CAMERA websiet, you'ss see editors who are looking for precision of language in nes coverage -- a precision that reflects the way things are. When a magazine refers to a city as a colony, that's an error. When a claim is mad that 50% of documents are refused bu the statistics show otherwise -- that shouldn't be corrected? The claims that Jews try to control the media or limit what people say are called in to question when the media agency in question tries to publicize the mistakes and provides supporting documentation for what it claims to be more accurate. Why not present a clear case where a correction made by CAMERA is not supported by the facts and then make the claim that they are, therefore, not neutral or accurate.

Not likely. The CAMERA folks are hard-core ideologues who knew they were working against NPOV and went right ahead and did it anyway. They did it because they answer to a higher cause/power than Wikipedia--Zionism, Jewry, HaShem, truth, justice--you name it. And they would have continued had they not been caught. FWIW, the ringleader Zeq has been banned from all Wikipedia articles relating to the Arab-Israeli conflict for a period of one year and blocked altogether for one week.

I think that the pro-Arab bias of Yahoo Answers is at best very problematical. I have found no such bias in Wikipedia. In Wikipedia they don't even claim that the Jews control the world. And they don't even falsify the Talmud. That is a fresh contrast to Yahoo Answers, which has lost just about all of its credibility by espousing an anti-Israel line. .

Thanks for this information. This is also definitive proof that the zionists know they have broken human rights law and have co-operated with each other to hide their crimes.
