Several very important questions about the Arab Israeli conflict?
-
1) Why does Israel continue to occupy the Golan Heights? Even before the occupation, they already had freshwater access to the western bank of the Sea of Galilee. Shouldn't they return the land in a three way agreement in exchange for some sort of two-state solution? 2) If Jews say Palestine is rightfully theirs, why don't Christians ever say so as well? Why is the Christian minority in Lebanon able to live in peace with Muslims? 3) Do you think this conflict will last forever, even if Gaza and the West Bank receive independence? 4) It seems to me that many Muslims have a totally irrational and stubborn viewpoint that Israel isn't even a legitimate nation. Why can't they get over the fact that borders in every single country in the world change all the time? Besides access to all the Muslim holy sites which the Israelis allow, what's so holy about a piece of desert? Isn't it insanely hypocritical that even atheists and people of any religion are allowed to visit Al-Aqsa, but a Muslim citizen of Israel cannot even enter Mecca? 5) Bibi once said that Muslims living in Israel are a demographic time bomb, and likely will form at least a third of the population in fifty years' time due to higher birth rates. Does Israel encourage its Muslim citizens to move out? 6) Exactly what caused the Lebanese Civil War and what were the groups fighting for? 7) How many Muslims here approve of the Ramallah lynching? 8) Why do academics and uppity Western liberals seem to think that Gaza is a concentration camp or an open air prison when there are no longer any Jewish settlements there? Sure the IDF still patrols the airspace and border, but what's so illegal about defending their own country. For those that whine about electricity and food and the humanitarian situation, exactly why is that an Israeli responsibility? Hamas has total administration over everything besides airspace yet actively use their own people as human shields. 9) Here's a very interesting hypothetical question. Suppose Saudi Arabia's government suddenly turned nutty and decided to acquire nuclear weapons and attack Israel. Since America is a slave to oil interests, which side do you think they would be on? 10) Why is it that almost every single Muslim country in the world is not an electoral democracy? Are they mentally deficient?

Answer:
1) Israel occupied part of the Golan Heights in the course of the Six- Days-War of 1967- and immediately offered to Syria to return them in exchange for the full-scale peace treaty Syria refused. In 1973, Syria, together with Egypt, again attacked Israel- and again lost the war. But the 1973 Yom Kippur war showed that until Syria remains to be a hostile state, Golans will always be a threat of danger to Israel if they remain in Syria´s hands. So, Israel annexed the Golans. From the juridical point of view, Israel has all the right to stay in the Golans, because Syria , in spite of being the aggressor who caused a hundreds of millions dollars damage to Israel and killed thousands of Israelis, never agreed to pay the reparations and compensations. In this case, the attacked side has the right to retain a part-or all- the territory of the aggressor. “Shouldn't they return the land in a three way agreement in exchange for some sort of two-state solution?” The two stqte solution has nothing to do with Golan Heights. It´s the problem between Israel and Syria, not between Israel- and Palestinian arabs. And it´s not Israel but these Palestinian arabs who must make concessions if they want to get a state. “2) If Jews say Palestine is rightfully theirs, why don't Christians ever say so as well?” Because It is not theirs. Palestine is the cradle of the Christianity, Jesus was a Jew- but that does not mean Palestine is the Christian Land. If you want to look at this from the religious point of view- Jews/Christians/ then let me remind you that God promised this land to the Jews, not to Christians or Muslims. “Why is the Christian minority in Lebanon able to live in peace with Muslims?” This peace is very fragile, and millions of Christians ran from Lebanon in the course of the civil war started by the PLO and Lebanese Muslims. “3) Do you think this conflict will last forever, even if Gaza and the West Bank receive independence?” It will last until Islam loses the aggressiveness of the young religion. Islam is 600 years younger than Christianity. It means that socially, Muslims are now at the stage Christians were in 1400. Shall I recall you, WHAT they were in 1400? And Jews, when they were young ethnos and Judaism was a young religion, were no less aggressive Muslims are now and Christians were 600 years ago. “4) It seems to me that many Muslims have a totally irrational and stubborn viewpoint that Israel isn't even a legitimate nation. Why can't they get over the fact that borders in every single country in the world change all the time? Besides access to all the Muslim holy sites which the Israelis allow, what's so holy about a piece of desert? Isn't it insanely hypocritical that even atheists and people of any religion are allowed to visit Al-Aqsa, but a Muslim citizen of Israel cannot even enter Mecca?” This question is more to Muslims than to Israelis 5) Bibi once said that Muslims living in Israel are a demographic time bomb, and likely will form at least a third of the population in fifty years' time due to higher birth rates. Does Israel encourage its Muslim citizens to move out? The demographic threat so much talked about is very ehaggeraqted. The birth rate of Arabs in Israel is now less than among the Orthodox Jews and in general, is going down. There is not any official “push out” of arabs enco on the part of Israeli government. But more and more Israelis demand that the Arabs- Israeli citizens- gave oath of loyalty to the State of Israel. If they refuse, they will not be entitled to the aids, subsidies and privileges the citizens of Israel who made such an oath will have. I think it´s quite fair. "6) Exactly what caused the Lebanese Civil War and what were the groups fighting for?" Arafat´s PLO invaded Lebanon. When Lebanese gave them a good kick in the azz, Syria regular army unit entered Lebanon and started to fight on the side of the PLO ( they began their "liberation mission" with mass rape of the Arab Christian schoolgirls in the Christian schools, and after raping them , they smashed them the front teeth, just for fun). The Lebanese Christians asked Israel for help. Israeli troops very quickly kicked the Syrians out and blockaded Arafat. Believe it or not, but the Lebanese met Israelis with flowers. The columnists talked to a doctor whose farm had been taken over without compensation by the PLO, and turned into a military depot. "You ask how do we like the Israelis," he said. "Compared to the hell we have had in Lebanon, the Israelis are brothers." “7) How many Muslims here approve of the Ramallah lynching?” I know at least one who does not. But the majority does. “8) Why do academics and uppity Western liberals seem to think that Gaza is a concentration camp or an open air prison when there are no longer any Jewish settlements there?” It´s very much in- fashion today to be “liberal”- or at least to seem it. The absolute majority of this shameles people know very well the real situation in Gaza, but they are after publicity, fat grants, paid “seminaries” in the 5- stars hotels, VIP paid flights… So, they write about the “CONCENTRATION CAMP IN Gaza, worse than Darfur”- after buying snickers , coca-cola and beer in the shops of this “concentration camp”. Look at these photos of one of such “activists, Lauren Booth, during her visit to Gaza within the frames of the company “Free Gaza”. http://www.hurryupharry.org/2008/09/12/lauren-booth-in-gaza/ Do they look like” a concentration camp”? But this fat swine, after getting out of this shop, taking a walk along the streets of Gaza , going to the beach and having a bath, wrote that the situation in Gaza is worse than in Darfur . “9) Here's a very interesting hypothetical question. Suppose Saudi Arabia's government suddenly turned nutty and decided to acquire nuclear weapons and attack Israel. Since America is a slave to oil interests, which side do you think they would be on?” They will impose the embargo on arms sales to Israel ,like they did in 1948 and 1967. I do not blame them, every country must defend her own interest first. “10) Why is it that almost every single Muslim country in the world is not an electoral democracy? Are they mentally deficient?” No. They are simply living in the 7th century yet, when their Koran and Sharia had been wirtten. In that time, there were no democracies. P.S. Don´t you think it would be better to ask these questions one by one? It would not make the answers look like "The war and Peace", in 3 volumes. Just a thought.

1. Golan Heights were part of Syria. From 1948-67, when Syria controlled the Golan Heights, it used the area as a military stronghold from which its troops randomly sniped at Israeli civilians in the Huleh Valley below, forcing children living on kibbutzim to sleep in bomb shelters. In addition, many roads in northern Israel could be crossed only after probing by mine-detection vehicles. In late 1966, a youth was blown to pieces by a mine while playing football near the Lebanon border. In some cases, attacks were carried out by Yasir Arafat's Fatah, which Syria allowed to operate from its territory. On December 14, 1981, the Knesset voted to annex the Golan Heights. substantial opposition exists within Israel to withdrawing from the Golan Heights. The expectation of many is that public opinion will shift if and when the Syrians sign an agreement and take measures, such as reigning in Hezbollah attacks on Israel from southern Lebanon, that demonstrate a genuine interest in peace. And public opinion will determine whether a treaty is concluded because Barak has said any agreement must be approved in a national referendum (a law to this effect was passed under Netanyahu). 2.Many Christians think like the Likudniks. They believe that every inch of Israel belongs to the Jews - given by God - and that the Palsetinians should be treated just like the Canaanites were in the Old Testament book of Joshua who were mercilessly wiped out of the land by the ancient Israelites. 3.Israel is not the one instigating these 'wars'. . 4.You must ask the Arabs 5.No Israel is not encouraging Muslim citizens to move out 6.Lebanon's different Muslim groups, principally the Shi'ite, Sunni, and Druse (Druze) sects, which made up about half the population, were discontented with the 1943 National Pact, which established a dominant political role for the Christians (Phalange Party or Phalangists), especially the Maronites, in the central government. Palestinians also lived in Lebanon, particularly in the south in refugee camps or in bases from which guerrillas of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) carried out attacks on neighboring Israel. Lebanese Muslims tended to sympathize with the PLO. The spark that ignited the war occurred in Beirut on April 13, 1975, when gunmen killed four Phalangists during an attempt on Pierre Jumayyil's life. Perhaps believing the assassins to have been Palestinian, the Phalangists retaliated later that day by attacking a bus carrying Palestinian passengers across a Christian neighborhood, killing about twenty-six of the occupants. The next day fighting erupted in earnest, with Phalangists pitted against Palestinian militiamen (thought by some observers to be from the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine). The confessional layout of Beirut's various quarters facilitated random killing. Most residents of Beirut stayed inside their homes during these early days of battle, and few imagined that the street fighting they were witnessing was the beginning of a war that was to devastate their city and divide the country. 7.Most here don't even know what you are talking about, the two innocent Israelis were butchered by wild animals. 8.It all has to do with the fact Muslims control the press. 9.Saudi Arabia doesn't have the millitary know-how. 10.Most all are old old old monarchies...

1) because they are greedy and nothing is ever enough 2) No they dont, Lebanese had a civil war didnt they, Palestinian Christians and Muslims live in peace together and shay p is a dirty liar because palestinian christians also support the palestinian cause as much as palestinian muslims, we are one and we are the same we are brothers and sisters and Israel descriminates against us all 3) Yes, until the refugees are given the RIGHT TO RETURN and Palestinians are given their land back! 4) There are very good reasons why a person with israeli citizenship cant go there, they could be a spy. and i am a palestinian and u are FALSE Israel does not allow Palestinian christians and muslims into Jerusalem if they have a palestinian passport issued in a city other than Jerusalem, I am a Palestinian citizen but i am not allowed to even enter the gates of Jerusalem let alone see the holy sites 5) Yeah thats why they treat the PALESTINIAN CHRISTIAN AND MUSLIM civilians as second class citizens, so that they can move out and leave 6) The Lebanese would have never had a civil war if they were not divided in the first place. Israel then kept poking at PLO and stirring conflict in Lebanon until the entire country erupted in war 7) this has nothing to do with religion!!! those guys were soldiers and trespassing in our area and they have done worse to us, wow 2 soldiers killed lets all cry a river, build a bridge, and get over it 8) The human shields thing is zionist propaganda :) and Israel had a blockade on Gaza restricting food and water and basic necessities because we democratically elected Hamas. Hamas does not believe in Israel's right to exist just as the Likud party does not believe in Palestine's right to exist so is it ok for us to arrest their legislators and do what they did to us? BTW only 13 israelis have been killed in the 8 yrs od hamas rockets, and thousands within 2 weeks of israeli air raids 9) America might as well commit suicide if that happens 10) Thats a racist thing to say, if the people are happy with their country who are you to come and tell them what they should believe in or should have as a government? FYI 90 percent of Iraqis I met liked Saddam

1. the golan heights is a highly strategic piece of land, was once part of biblical israel, and was won in a defensive war, so they will not give it back. 2. Jewish claim to the land dates back thousands of years to when jews used to rule that land and control an empire. That land was always the homeland for jews. The christians in lebanon are arabs like the people they live amounst, plus there are a very sizable number of them. 3.yes the conflict will never end. Hopefully the violence will die down to a reasonable point though sometime. 4.Muslims are very racist people sometimes due to the description of jews in their holy book. They have many stereotypes. 5.Yes of course israel wants the muslims to move out for that reason, although they will not say it publically. 6.I can't do this anymore, i feel like i am back in college

1. The Golan heights is also a very strategic location militarily, its is the "Eyes and the ears of the Israeli north" and Damscus is in its range. 80% of the Syrian Army is in between Damscus and Golan. It is safe to say that if ever faced with war, Israel would have a huge military advantage over Syria, and it is likely Syria would choose not to attack, 2. It was historically the Jewish homeland. While, Jesus' birthplace, it was not a Christian homeland, which has never really been a 'nation' centered in Jerusalem. Christians getting a long in Lebanon with their Muslim neighbors? That's laughable, my family fled Beirut because of their fighting. Look up the Lebanese civil war. 3. Forever is a long time, no. I do think that even if Gaza and the West Bank receive full independence and autonomy, even of their airspace, etc, etc, there will still be war. 4. The religious take is that, once a land is take over by Muhammed's army it is an Islamic waqf and should be always under Islamic rule. I've heard claims for Spain too. You should check out the status on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. 5. The demographic time bomb, relates to the Jewish character of the State of Israel, and a large Muslim demographic disturbing it. I do not know of any government programs encouraging Muslims to leave, though I do know that Muslims in Israel enjoy some of the best living conditions (literacy, life expectancy etc) when compared to the Arab world. 6. The Lebanese Civil War (which I see you have heard of!) is a very complicated one which I do not completely understand. In my understanding, the main parties were Lebanese Christians and Muslims fighting over representation and status. 7. N/A 8. I can only guess at their reasons. I personally think that is an attempt to somehow have a balance and an equivalence which is totally skewed. 9. I think America would bite the bullet and oppose the usage of nuclear weapons. 10. It doesn't have to do with a mental deficiency, but rather a social and cultural inertia which is slow and violently resistant to change.

1) Syria offered peace in return for the Golan and Israel refused. 2) Many Jews believe that they have the "unique and special connection" to Palestine. What makes this "unique and special connection" different from the one that German, Polish, Greek, Italian, Egyptian, ... etc. Christians have towards Jerusalem, Nazareth, and Bethlehem? Ironically, once upon a time the Catholic Christians felt a similar "unique and special connection" to "Eretz Yisrael", and we all know how that turned out to be! Why must this "unique and special connection" imply Palestinian dispossession? Why cannot this "unique and especial connection" continue to flourish without "transferring" the Palestinian people out of their homes, farms, and business? Why Christians' "unique and special connections" to "Eretz Yisrael" flourished without Palestinians being "transferred" or dispossessed? Does this "unique and special connection" transfer to other humans upon their conversion to Judaism? In other words, assuming that a million people convert to Judaism (which already occurred during the great Jewish Khazrian empire), did these new converts magically overnight develop a "unique and special connection" to "Eretz Yisrael"? 3) This conflict will last as long as it takes for justice to serve! 4) Borders change but people don't. As many Israeli leaders stated before; Israel is set to be a national home for Jewish people. Which means creating Jewish majority people. That can be achieved in two ways: 1- encouraging Jewish immigration to Palestine (which seems not to work very well lately) 2- ethnic cleansing of most of Palestinian population. (which is the more common method used lately). So in Israeli case when borders change that also could mean the population change. That is not a similar case in any other country in the world. 5) Yes 7) I do approve what people who lived under more than 61 years of oppression do! These soldiers were illegally there on their lands committing ugliest crimes against their people. Israeli side did much worse than Ramallah lynching for the last 61 years of its illegal existence on Palestinian lands. 8) That is a big error! Hamas does not have total administration of airspace and it does not by any chance use its own people as human shields. 9) America is a slave to the Jewish powerful lobby that is running all the show 10) There is no denying of the fact that the Middle East is mostly ruled by autocratic, oppressive, and undemocratic regimes. On the other hand, the majority of these repressive regimes were mostly founded and funded based on Israeli and American wishes. It should be noted that the most popular revolts in the Middle East have been ruthlessly crushed by American puppet regimes (whom the West often refer to by "Moderate regimes") in the area. The regimes in Iraq, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the Hashemite Kingdom, Lebanon (before the civil war), Arab Gulf States, Morocco, Iran (prior to the Islamic revolution), Turkey, ... etc., were all funded and directed by the United States of America; the land of the free and the home of the brave. Ironically, many of the so called "moderate regimes" are ten times more accountable to the USA and Israel than to their own public.

1) Because the Syrians used that high ground to attack and shoot the Israeli towns below and israel would be stupid to EVER give it back and rely on their worthless promise to "never do it again". 2A) Who says Christians don't say that, they DO, check out pat Robertson and the 700 Club. 2B) Who says everything is so "peaceful"? Again the 700 Club has had reports over the years that things are NOT so hunky dory, between the oppresing Islamics and the Christian minority who are treated worse by the Islamics then the Islamics are ij Israel which they never stop trying to undermine and destroy. 3) It will stop when Moshiach comes and those two places already HAVE independence. 4) Good point. 5) The suicidal nazilibs in Israel think they can live with a growing enemy which constantly vows 5 times a day to "destroy the infidels". Meir Kahane wanted to offer the Arabs the same deal the settlers in one area were forced at gunpoint to accept by the israeli government. 6) Lebanon is not a strong or stable country. That allowed Hezbolla to move in and take over as part of the rulling government. Their hatred of Jews and desire for absolute rule causes war and strife everywhere they go. 7) I'd be surprised if more then 20% or so, had any problem with it at all. 8) Another good point. They can smuggle in all the bombs and bullets and terrorists they want but can't get in food? What a crock!!! 9) With the pro Islamic president in office I think Israel would have a hell of a lot to worry about. Though ultimately I think they would never get nuked or taken over since as a group, the Jews living there are under G-ds protection, at least to the extent of not getting totally wiped out or having the all land stolen from them again. But within those paramaters of protection there is room for plenty of Jewish suffering if they do not start following G-ds commandments and stop all the anti Torah, nazilib garbage. 10) No!!! Arabs are actually quite intelligent and not mentally deficient at all. But they are easily brainwashed after having heard nothing to oppose such brainwashing for well over 1000 years. It's a crying shame that they so brainwash and abuse their own children, into being nothing but homocidal terrorists, for their Imams and not taught science and medicine so they could become a great civilization.

1) The Syrians lost the Golan Heights in a war. The Golan Heights is an integral part of Israel. It's been under an Israeli control more years than under a Syrian control. Basically, the Syrians used it to bombard settlements at the foot of it, killing farmers and fishermen. There is a fear that once they get it back they are going to settle it with 500,000 people and when terror strikes again from that place, Israel is going to have a hard time dealing with it. Also, not many hear about that (Syria is doing quite a job filtering the events), farmers there lost fields over fields of plantations because of a water crisis that struck Syria thanks to their government. The might suck the Sea of Galilee dry when they reach it. 2) Religious claim? Historic claim? Recognition? need to be a bit clearer there. 3) Nope. Every conflict comes to an end. If Gaza and the West Bank have a recognized independence, it means the war is over, no? 5) The Muslims in Israel have rights and must obey the law like the Christians, the Jews and every other citizen. They aren't being forced out, and are free to practice their religion. Actually, the Arabs sometimes even win some affirmative actions. 6) Concisely, thanks to the once ongoing tension between religions and classes differences. (150,000 people lost their lives then). 8) Israel supplies Gaza with: Electricity, petroleum, food, water, building material, medicine, fertilizers, metals and other basic material. Hamas brutally took control over Gaza (shooting the opposition members in their backs, throwing them off rooftops) and continued delivering terror, stealing shipments designated for the civil population, using funds and raw material to support its terror nests. Israel pulled unilaterally out of Gaza with the purpose of letting the Gazans have a chance to prosper - but greenhouses became terror camps, and now you have 2 entities. 9) ..."suddenly turned nutty"... You know the answer yourself, the same thing around. 10) Maybe being governed by an iron fist is what fits them best. The Iranians are smart enough to rise against their own tyrants, that is something very estimable.
