    7mood, that was a very ignorant and hypocritical answer. I agree, until Gilad is given his rights, neither should Palestinians prisoners. Arabs have quite a history of refusing rights to their prisoners. Examples include Ron Arad and the scores of Israeli soldiers captured in 1973. Syria ignores the Geneva conventions and tortured and killed many of them, so much so that some bodies that were returned to Israel showed extreme signs of mutilation. Arabs have proven they are simply wild animals when it comes to warfare, no compassion whatsoever. An imprisoned Israelis soldier in Israeli jails even has a harder time than the Palestinian prisoners.

There is a big difference between Shalit and th 9,000 Israel hold. The Israeli prisoners are all held in a secure jail many of who have been there a lot longer than Shalit who is hidden in a house or building where his presence cannot be disclosed. He is a major bargaining power for the release of many of the prisoners hold especially the children . If I were Hamas Israel would have to free many prisoners and relinquish a lot of land before he would be released. What else do they have to bargain with without this prisoner of war.

We all know that Gilad Shalit has bad conditions and they don't treat him as we treat our prisoners. Our prisoners can even get education in jail and eat normal food, get medicine care and have visitors. Sometimes i wish israel was not a democracy state and we could change the rules a bit, but then i look on the arabic countries and turn my minds back. don't let them fool you. God taught us all to be humans with dignity.

Yea as Israeli's prison officers lost their lives in the big fire up north to save these Palestinian prisoners from being baked in a fire. Oh those mean Israelis.

Is it just me or is your question shows how racist you are? You mentioned that Israel has "Prisoners" while Hamas has only Gilad, yet you simply dehumanized all the Palestinian prisoners by ignoring them and caring about gilad's rights. FYI, your Islamophobia is obvious, you simply labeled all palestinian prisoners "Terrorists" while many maybe innocent civilians. I bet if those "palestinians" were Jews, your labeling would be much different.

Hamas is holding Israel by the testicles. You know how Gilad Shalit would be released? Every day Hamas doesn't release Shalit, Israel will take one prisoner and execute him. Gilad Shalit would be back in three days. Edit: No, Gilad's body won't be mutilated if Israel does this. Hamas knows Gilad is the only thing they have to get control over Israel, to play with Israel, etc. Once Israel begins to act in a language they know (violence), Hamas will understand.
