What are the main economic activities in Syria?

Why did Egypt, Jordan and Syria NOT create the "palestinian state"?

  • After the Israel´s War of Independence of 1948, Egypt conquered Gaza, and Jordan took Judea and Samaria, and Syria claimed the Golan. They ruled over these territories for 20 years. But in none of these areas was a government of local Arabs allowed. When Egypt conquered the Gaza Strip, it proceeded to prohibit "Palestinian" national activities and expel its leadership. Jordan not only did not grant local independence to Judea and Samaria, but it actually annexed these areas to its own country. When Syria occupied and annexed the Hama area in the Golan Heights, the Arab League outlawed a provisional "Palestinian" government there. So, Arabs call to create the "palestinian state" only when Judea is in the hands of its rightful owners: Jews, and Israel belongs to Israelis?

  • Answer:

European, because it is not Palestine ! Palestine is were the zionist state is established now, they occupied the Arabic lands and created all kinds of stories to brain wash people like you. When somebody treats you as a zionist, you should consider yourself insulted.

Because Arab are the most hypocritical people on the face of the Earth @! Yet the Jordanians and Egyptians have massacred countless Palestinians and have expelled thousands only to have them wind up in refugee camps that Israelis built. Interesting how you Arabs "care" so much about your "Palestinians brothers" @! THEY were never accepted as nationals by the Arabs! They werent given rights and many Arabs had expelled Palestinians. Unlike under Jordanian rule, until the Palesitnians get a state, Israel refuses to annex them, provides water, gas, electricity, humanitarian aid, and even built refugee camps for them. What have the Arabs done? Nothing, dont play the blame game and accuse me of twisting history when you are doing so, the only reason Palestinians dont have a state at this point is because of Arab aggression.

it was not in their interests to do it. after israel took control of it, it became their interest. why? ask them.

The UN Partition which created the Jewish-majority state also proposed a 2nd Arab nation (the 1st being Jordan, from 7/8ths of the Mandate territory). It's that land - the land which was supposed to be the 2nd Arab nation - which was taken by Egypt, Jordan and Syria for themselves. No one cared until Israel won the land in the Six Day War, 19 years later. Then it suddenly became an outrage. Jordan, Syria and Egypt want the entire region for themselves, not the Palestinian Arabs. They'll do anything to get it.

The angels have the phone box.

1- Palestinians do have a land that was stolen by the zionists who created their so called israel .. 2- Why don't you take israel in europe or latin america !? Oh I forgot .. Europeans used to hate and despise jews. They can't stand having them between them thus throwing them in the middle east ..and make us Arabs suffer instead ..

Due to lack of interest, if you ask me. I think that many support Palestine with ulterior motives than they claim, such as not wanting to accept Israel. No, not accepting Israel and wanting to see a Palestine are two separate things. If their actions suggest anything, they did sh*t for the Palestinians, so helping them does not seem like it's goal. I can't speak for Egypt, who got the short end, comparatively, but Jordan had a very attractive area. An area that they could say "Mine" and hope to profit off of. Jordan displayed intent to say it's Palestinian only after they lost control. Consider the Mount of Olives - ancient graves destroyed by Jordanian royalty in order to pave roads, and such. And, to plan a international hotel, to profit Jordan, not Palestine, should signal true intent.

In case you're still in your dreams, wake up. There's no such thing as "juda and samari" today unless you want to close your eyes and keep saying to your self "judah judah" you might convince your self ultimately.

Because they were not in danger of being expelled or killed or put in refugee camps like they are now. The difference is that the israelis want to replace the native population with jewish settlers and confiscate their land, while the arabs did not. This is why you have daily house demolitions, illegal jewish settlements and refugee camps being set up. The israelis want the indigenous population to leave their homes and land behind and transfer them to jordan or other arab states. This was never a possiblity when the arabs controlled the area. The problem with jordan and the other arab states is that its not their home or land. Palestine is, and has been for thousands of years (since biblical times). This "palestinian state" is necessary to avoid the ethinic cleansing that israel is in progress of comitting. Israel is defined as a jewish state and in order to preserve its jewish identity, the palestinian population needs to be transferred, otherwise you have millions of palestinians living in the west bank and gaza with a much higher birth rate. Eventually, they will overtake the jewish majority and that is why there is a demographic threat in israel. A palestinian state is necessary today, and more than ever. There are far too many palestinians living in the west bank for any alternative solution. Arab states will not accept them simply because they are not obliged to. They belong in palestine where their land is and no one has the right to deny them that. Edit: The jordanians massacred the palestinians only when they tried to overtake their rule in black september, after being expelled by the israelis. This never happened when jordan was in control of the territories and the egyptians never massacred the palestinians, so that is completely untrue. Why do israelis feel the constant need to twist everything? Listen, i'm just telling you why the palestinians never felt it was necessary for a state to be established at that time. They were not being threatened like they are now. They are not under a brutal occupation. Their movement was not restricted and their land was not disappearing before their eyes. Whether or not that is what you want to hear is not my problem. Mitch, you are confused. The jordanians didn't expel any palestinians from their homes under their rule, and i'd like to see any evidence you have to back those ridiculous claims, where would they expel them to!? Jordan?! The reason the west bank hasn't been annexed to israel yet is because it would be the end of the jewish state. The majority of the population would now be arab, so it either becomes an aparthaid state or gives the arabs a right to vote which is demographic suicide, the same reason they are refusing a right of return for palestinian refugees. This is why the israelis have been building settlements continously since '67 so that it would be a home to a large population of jewish settlers that cannot be discounted on determining the final status of borders. ISRAEL IS EXPANDING and that is why the palestinians desperately need to create their own state to preserve their security and identity before its all taken away from them.
