    Why do many jews have Russian names? German names? Why would Mark Twain refer to them as Palestinians? Why did Aristotle call the area Palestine years before Rome? And do you have a reason why Palestinian carry the Cohanim genetic marker? and the area was called "Palestine" by Philo, a Jewish writer living in egypt- decades before the fall of Jerusalem? How on earth could he have called the area "Palestine" years before the Bar Kokhba revolt? Why do you hate a people so much that you refuse to even let them call themselves what the rest of the world has been calling them for centuries? Look at any medieval map of the area- it's called Palestine. So how does a person who's family has lived in Russia (Germany, Austria, Ukraine et cetra) for centuries overnight becomes an "Israeli" after an idol worshipping country that ceased to exist 2600 years ago, but somebody who's family has lived in an area called Palestine since at least the locals told Herodotus that's the name of the place for 2400 years, can't call themselves Palestinians?

What a useless question. Does Jones or Smith have to come from England or America or Australia, or Canada or New Zealand > A name does not identify the country you come from. Most Palestinians were born in Palestine as were a few Jews . Their surname is irreverent.

They came from Palestine .....from the sea to the river........It is their land and they are the original inhabitant of the land........In 1948 zionists immigrated to Palestine ,helped by the British occupation to Palestine ... kicked more than half of the Palestinians from their land.....and declared israel,a racist,apartheid,fascist state....Al-Naqba......The Palestinians became Refugees in the surrounding countries mainly Jordan ,Syria ,Lebanon and Egypt. The Jews who were "attached to the land" remained in the Holy Land after the the Romans destroyed the Jerusalem temple and their descendants are the present-day Palestinians. Many of them converted to Christianity and later to Islam. Even the descendants of Jews who converted to Christianity during the time of the apostles of Jesus are now called Palestinian Christians.

There are many common family names all over the Arab world because of intermarriage.
