Anyone you know ever been falsely arrested?

Does anyone know what this Palestinian family was evicted and arrested for?

  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QRHqU8H1CVk&feature=player_embedded http://mondoweiss.net/2011/10/brutal-eviction-of-palestinian-family-in-jaffa-caught-on-tape.html Israeli police using excessive force against a Palestinian family in Jaffa to evict them from a south Tel Aviv house they were squatting in on Tuesday, Sameer (The guy who gets arrested in the video) says he and his family have been homeless since May when his mother, who used to help him with his expenses, died and he could no longer pay rent. He said that he, his wife, and their five children moved to a deserted house on Salameh Street about two weeks ago after someone set their tent at the Shtayim park on fire. Does anyone have a source of an Israeli police POV of this incident?

  • Answer:

Wow this clip makes me want to put a slug in the head of every scum bag Israeli police officer that was involved in this eviction. Imagine this is an eviction happening in Tel aviv, Israel, so you can imagine how evictions go in the West Bank! Its pointless to look for an Israeli Police report, there would be more truth on the back of a used toilet paper... I'm sure according to them hes a 'terrorist' planning to carry out an operation with Hamas, or perhaps they will claim that he abused the officers and physically harmed them.... you know, the usual B.S that we hear... If things get really heated, the Israeli Government might conduct an investigation that will of course amount to as usual ......... NOTHING. To all the pathetic Zionist apologists.... Seriously I have to give it to you guys for your creativity, you manage to find an excuse for ANYTHING, if the woman was being raped you would have a reason for it. @Shitake - No this is a Palestinian family who live in Israel, known as Israeli Arabs. The only reason for the Israeli Arabs still existing in Israel is because Israel couldn't expel and ethnically cleanse ALL Arabs from the so called 'State of Israel'... they are no more Israeli than my left nut. @Nik - As usual you are missing the point, nobody is against evicting a family who are not rightly there, what people are against is the DISGUSTING and INHUMANE CONDUCT of the Israeli Police Force...which is supposedly among the most 'Moral' and humane in the world. @OP - Yes an Arab sue the Israeli Police force and win... Excuse me... .. ... .. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha… Good one lol Yes OP - not sure which mushrooms you are taking now but please do let us know. @ Simple Simon - 'Can you imagine Jews will be squatting into your house in Cairo?' - no but I can imagine them squatting in a Palestinians house....oh wait, they actually did.... and then ISRAEL was formed. @ S - 'From what I can see he is using her as a shield' - then obviously 'S' you don't see.. He's holding on to his daughter for dear life because he doesn't want her taken away by the barbaric scum Police officers on site... I imagine he's not sure of when the next time he will be able to lay eyes on his daughter again after he is taken in for 'questioning'...ahem I mean torture. If you were not the son of Satan you would understand that. 'He's struggling and refusing to go, even after they're holding him. What do you want the police to do?' - Well kicking the man in the head in front of his whole family probably wouldn't be the 'best' way to go about it don't you think?

I was a teenager during WW2 and these scenes were reminiscent of the Nazis rounding up Jewish families for the labour camps. Fortunately for this poor family they were just thrown into the street, homeless with little hope for their future while the Israelis continued to steal the homes of their fellow arabs. Where they evicted by these brutal police ? or was any attempt made to catch the Israelis who burnt their tent ? Sadly the answer is no in both cases

wilbert

I guess for some Israelis, excessive force is acceptable if used on Arabs. See the 2 answers above me (Simple Simon and op)...they seem to see nothing wrong with the brutal method. @ Nik < Of course I remember they are Palestinians. Jews are decent people, they don't trash their lives and their children lives like that so easy.> This is a racist remark.

What if the man name was not Sameer.....but Moshe.......would the israeli police use the same force .....Most of israelis in Yaffa are squatting Palestinians homes....

Sameer

You told yourself in your  "house they were squatting in on Tuesday" Can you imagine Jews will be squatting into your house in Cairo? What will be next? This Ay-rab does not have wife???????????????

Simple Simon

Wilbert is right... Zionists learnt well from Nazis before leaving Europe for Palestine.

I would like to kindly correct a few mistakes. This is not a Palestinian family, it is an Israeli family. Just because they are Arabs doesn't automatically make them Palestinians. They are not evicted from their home, they are evicted from someone else's home which they went into because it was unoccupied. If I am the owner of house which is currently not occupied, it doesn't automatically give a right for people to go and live there. If they refuse to evacuate on their own and refuse to leave when the police arrives to evict them, and then refuse arrest, then the police may use force to get them out. I did not see tasers and battons nor any other object to cause harm. I saw a few fists though. Also notice that the video starts when the man is already on the ground and the riot police is there trying to arrest him. We have no idea what happened before that. In the Israeli news on Ynet.co.il the police claimed the man refused to evacuate and threatened to blow up a gas canister if they do anything. This is why you don't see normal police officers, but instead the entire force is made up of Yamas, special police forces trained to deal with riots.

Because Israel is not 3rd world. In my country if a family has no means for a home then the government is responsible to find them accommodation and 3 meals per day, plus clothing and free transportation. All of this without the $23 billion dollars per year, off the American tax payer's pocket. Israel is like Uganda or Somalia. Not 3rd world! bye bye

Beautiful Sunset

a. it's an israeli family b. squatting is illegal in israel (and in most of the world) c. the police evicted this year many squatters, both jewish and muslim. if he can't afford the rent in Tel-Aviv, maybe he should move to a cheaper location? it's like a person insisting living in Manhattan when he can't afford it.

Arilou

it doesn't matter they can sue the police and they will get what they want if they right.
