    go to the Israeli Consulate in N.Y. and tell them you want Israeli Citizenship, assuming you are Jewish) and that's about it. it doesn't take long at all. but, once you get to Israel there are requirements you must fulfill. you will have to go to Ulhpon (school, to learn the language), even if you already know Hebrew. you will have to stay for a designated period of time. because you will be given money to start your life in Israel.

If you are Jewish then very fast. It is well set procedure. You finish with it in the airport in less then half an hour. You will get all the explanations when you make your official request

After getting a passport and the required apostilles it's relatively quick... To the point of getting the visa required to immigrate there, it took me about a month and a half (I was able to expedite my daughters passport) and then only about three weeks to arrange for airfare, etc to immigrate. Once you arrive there, you can get more info on getting an Israeli Passport. If you just want Israeli Citizenshp (or dual citizenship) you could most likely just go to the Israeli Consulate in one of the many big cities in the US.
