How is the weather in israel in january?

When I go to Israel from December 23 till January 4, 2012 If I visit Eilat will the weather be appropriate to?

  • go swimming on the beach and is there a water park open in Eilat in December & January Eilat is in the southernmost part of Israel

    It's roughly the same latitude as San Antonio, Tx (29°32'N) or Houston, Tx (29°45'N), (Eilat = 29°33'N); so if you would swim in the Gulf of Mexico in December/January, then you could probably swim at Eilat.

Actually, it should be fine. I mean, I've been swimming both at the beach in Tel Aviv and in the Dead Sea in late December/early January.
