The truth about Israel and surrounding countries?
-
I would like an honest not biased opinion on Israel and it's surrounding countries. If you're biased it's usually obvious, I just want an honest opinion. Is Israel the country that constantly bombs, performs acts of terror, and kills innocent civilians in their homes, or is it the other way around that the surrounding countries do that to Israel. From what I have read, heard, and watched on the news, it seems like the surrounding countries have done that to Israel. When I speak to other people about it many bring in other sources that say the opposite. So is it Israel's fault, surrounding countries, or both?

Answer:
Ok since the occupation of israel to Palestine in 1948 and until now israel fought in 3 wars against Egypt. In 1956 israel-France-Britain attacked Egypt in order to retake control over the Suez canal but they failed. http://africanhistory.about.com/od/eraindependence/a/TripartiteInvasion_2.htm In 1967 israel attacked Egypt and Syria occupying Sinai and the Golan http://avaxnews.com/educative/1967_Six_Day_War.html http://motherearthtravel.com/history/israel/history-14.htm In 1973 Egypt and Syria attacked israel to retake their lands from the occupiers. I hope that i don't read that Egypt was the one who provoked israel in 1967 and that they were building up for a war because it is stupid...If Egypt did want to attack israel in 1967 then it would have attacked it. Let alone the 2 wars with Hezbollah.

The truth my friend, is that the foundation of Israel was built on the basis of Zionism, which calls for Jewish supremacy on as much land as possible. Here, Israeli and Zionist first leaders by their own words: http://www.palestineremembered.com/Acre/Famous-Zionist-Quotes/Story637.html That is why, this state has been the source of wars and conflicts ever since its establishment in 1948. Arab countries are not occupying Israel, nor they ever tried to occupy it, but Israel is still occupying Arab lands, refuses to withdraw for peace, and building colonial settlements for Jews from all over the world on these territories in clear violation of the international law.
The truth IS in the middle. All replies above are right. For there is no such thing as The Truth. There are only 7 billion people with opinions and standpoints. I have been to Israel and Egypt and thought both to be very nice countries and people. As long as you do not mention one to the other.

The palestinians originally started the conflict by starting riots over Jewish people moving there but ever since then it's been retaliation after retaliation.

The truth is very simple, see these boats: http://www.geschichteinchronologie.ch/judentum-aktenlage/migration/EncJud_migration04-illegal-immigration-to-Palestine-and-Cypurs-115,000-ENGL.html Return it and its cargo back to Europe then there will be no conflict whatsoever.

i am pro israel, and you know what my response to your question will be. the same as others here who are pro palestinian will give you the opposite response. can i make a suggestion to you that you find some history books that are written by neither an arab nor a jew. there are some that are not dry or hard going to read, so you can get to the truth. the problem is that in muslim countries they are only allowed to read books that are pro muslim, so they never get to hear the truth, it is always 100% slanted. the real history books are simply not available to them. if i am to be honest here, both sides contribute to the ongoing conflict. but as to how it started if you really want to know dont use the computer to find out, do your own research. better still visit israel and the territories one day yourself and you will see the truth for yourself.

"for every force there is an equal and opposite force".....in other words......."for each action there is a reaction, equal in the magnitude and opposite in the direction".......and again...."if you push on it.....it pushes on you"........"The force","the action" and the "push "started from israel.........The rest is merely an "opposite force",a "reaction" and a "re-push". This is unbiased answer........
Surrounding countries attack, bomb, and commit acts of terrorism against Israel.

Truthfully, a little of both. However, if you ask me, I think the Arabs have more fault to bear for the way the situation turned out. Mostly, Israel is just trying to survive. Many of them are going a little further than that, to say the least. In 1948, both Israel and a Palestinian state were supposed to be formed. As we all know, only Israel actually did. Now, that's not of any fault of Israel's: They accepted the partition. The Arab states didn't want to accept Israel, so they attacked it as soon as the British left. Keep in mind that, the Arab nations have vast armies, whereas the Israelis had far fewer, and a good portion of them had just arrived after the horrors of the Holocaust. Interested in bombing the Palestinians were not in there interest: they took their energy and applied it to nation building. I find it funny that, then, Israel has no problems with the borders, but now Israel has been attacked so many times from the different fronts that they have to ensure their safety and security, whereas the Arab nations who didn't want Israel in the first place whine on how Israel isn't being fair with the borders (that they are willing to discuss, anyway, if someone would meet the Israelis at the table). I could go on and list all the conflicts, but it's pointless. Simply, Israel is consistently watching out for the next attack, but they have been trying to make peace. For Decades. Arafat, for example, just went to some peace talks just to make an appearance. It's said that Bill Clinton personally told him that he made him (Bill) a failure since he didn't even bother to offer counter-negotiations to whatever the Israelis offered, and thus the talks failed. He still got the peace prize, despite ordering countless suicide bombs. Honestly, Israel is not as bad as the surrounding countries. Not by a longshot, if you ask me. Egypt and Syria have recently shown their ugly colors, as the protests indicate, and those type of regimes were poised against Israel. And then there is Hamas. They allowed rockets to be fired from Gaza into Israel, for 7-8 years before Israel truly responded. This before Israel ceded them the territory, mind you, giving the "land for peace" idea a chance. They got the land they demanded, yet Israel got no peace in return for relinquishing that land. The thing is that many people flat out ignore Israel's woes. No one complained when Israel is attacked, via rocket or suicide bombed, at least compared to when Israel fights back. Then there is the issue: The Israelis fighting back. Granted, some people do see a blown up school: However, it's a blown up school that was used as a rocket launching site. Israel isn't suicidal: They destroy things the terrorists use against them, caring more about living that what the other thinks (and doesn't acknowledge). Israel actually minimizes civilian deaths, if dropping leaflets and giving out warning to where they would strike to Gazans is any indication.
