Muslims won the Yom Kippur War?

Of course they did! They also won the 1948 war, as well as the 1967 war. Muslims never loose! Should I get you more aspirin your Majesty?

Its the same as saying the extermination of Jews in WWII didn't happen. Its propoganda...saying it doesn't make it true, but it rallys the uneducated populations.

If you have read the articles - why don't you know - mainly because the broke the Bar-Lev line in the Sinai (Egypt) in the south and managed to drive into the Golan Heights (Syria) in the north (however they were driven back in both.) and during fighting the numbers if Israeli casualties were even with their Arab attackers. This of course did not last and the Arab forces were all driven back futher than they started. Some Israelis considered the break as an initial loss for Israeli forces, but in the end the IDF was prevailing before the superpowers stepped in to stop it. Good Luck!!!

That makes no sense to me.... wouldn't that mean that Israel wouldn't exist today? And as many of you know it does!

A blog is hardly an authoritative source. Some people feel that if they say it, and say it often enough, they can get other people to believe in their cause.

Propaganda... politically manipulated people believe even the most stupid lies... and just add religious extremist thinking = Egypt has won the war!!! Hahahahahahaha!!! Not even in their best dreams....

It's all a matter of relatives. In 1948 and 1967 Israel won on every count. Relative to this, the 'stalemate' of 1973 is seen as a victory. The first couple days were clearly in Syria and Egypt's favor, something that hadn't happened before. Both Egypt and Syria managed to invade into Israel, rather than fighting a retreating war. Compared to 1967, this was a victory. Basically, it seems that these people remember the first couple days of the war while Israelis remember the whole thing. The most gracious might say that the Arab armies won the first half and Israel won the latter, making them essentially equals. This view of things allows them to re-establish Arab and national pride. In truth, this is a ridiculous claim. If the Arab armies were really equal with Israel then there is no reason that they should not have won that war completely. For starters, both Egypt and Syria are larger than Israel, and combined Israel is completely outnumbered. Secondly, Israel was caught by surprise, meaning its reserves were not called up and it was not on war footing. Thirdly, Israel had to fight a war on two fronts. With these three points, there's no reason the Arabs should have lost at all - but they did. To contrast, in 1967 Israel had to fight a larger enemy, on war footing, on two fronts while the enemy need only defend one. The simple conclusion is that Israel is seen as a much stronger country than either Egypt or Syria. Even at it's weakest point it is stronger. Because of this, simply making Israel bleed and take losses is considered a victory (see the conflict with Hizballah). What's more impressive, going punch for punch with your brother or lasting three rounds with a heavyweight?

ahh.... the "truth" surfaces... In fact, there really isn't a state of Israel today... its all the mad creation of spiteful Arabs who are looking for global support. They really wiped us all off the face of the earth, and took over everything. And did you see the fantastic job they did with high tech industry? All the medical research, computer stuff, etc. etc??? No Israelis, just Arabs pretending to be Israelis. :D Maybe I should also start a blog... I can even write about how the original state of Ungadebungeda was founded in Disneyland....
