In your opinion, which European country is the closest and most loyal ally of Israel?

Why isn't Israel extremely rich and modern?

  • i'm asking this as a jew btw. israel is a modern country, but why isnt it like number 1, on par with countries like luxembourg, finland, sweden, etc, or even higher than them? for whatever reason jews have always been very successful in whatever country they have been living in. i mean right now over half of the billionaires in the USA are jewish. and germany used to be the most advanced country in europe, yet most of their doctors were jewish too before the rise of nazism.. so just generally even in very advanced countries like america and germany, jews were at the top. so when all the jews around the world gathered into our own nation, surely logically speaking we would become even advanced than those countries we left behind like america? we are racially and culturally the same people after all... so what is the reason? im not saying israel is bad, because obviously we are still more advanced than other countries, but what is the reason behind us not being the top country in the world? in my opinion i think the status of israel today economically and scientifically speaking is not good enough and doesn't do our past achievements any justice. are there any explanations?

Israel had 5 big wars started against it by his Arab neighbours and 3 minor clashes. It won them all, but it had to spend a lot of money and resources on them. Israel is a very small country with practically no natural resources(only recently the gas and some oil were found there). It means it depends hugely on import. Israel has to spend a serious part of its budget on defense. In spite of that, Israel is at the level of the average European country in life level and is one of the world techological and scientific leaders. I do not think it´s fair to demand more of Israel.

Because Israelis come from communist ( East European) and Middle Eastern Backgrounds. They shall need decades after decades for mentality evolution If it wasn't for the US aid, American Jewish donations, American Jewish contributions. Money laundry from allover the world and Diamond stolen from corrupted African countries. Israel maybe hell on earth

But anyway israel is doing pretty good but the education levels and resources of European countries are higher, even of some east European countries although technologically they are less advanced than israel. in terms of population israel simply can't compete with advanced nations of 25 million or more, and smaller European nations are super rich like Swiss,Norway,Belgium etc where the min wage is about 4000 euro per month.

they are advanced and modern. they are way ahead of most in science and technology. they have one of the best armies and army intelligence in the world. they have world renown vineyards and wines. the economy is constantly struggling because they are and have been at war with various countries since a few days after it was named 'Israel' as a country. also it is only about 60 years old. other countries are have had hundreds, if not thousands, of years to develop and prosper. i think you are going on a hunch with your above statement. try doing more research on Israel's ranking in various areas.
