Where did Arabs appear from?

Are there such beings as "moderate Arabs," or is this term a political ploy to make Arabs appear as nice guys?

    well, before i answer your question, i need to know what exactly do you mean by "Moderate Arabs" ? cause it does not make sense, unless you mean moderate Muslim, that would make sense, but again, even moderate Muslim does not have an exact description, for an example, you may call me moderate Muslim, other may call me extreme Muslim, does that change anything in my religion or faith ?, nope, at the end i am Muslim, as Nada said up there, usa calls Muslims co operating with them as moderate Muslims, if tomorrow they went against usa, then they are extremists & funds terrorism. it is just a tool that politicians use to convince you with their side of the story.

I think you mean moderate Muslim. This term was coined by America. It referrs to Muslims who agree with the US way of doing things. I don't trust them.

There ARE moderate Arabs; and even far left ones. Many of them are professors. The problem is that these ones are alienated by their fellow Arabs when their opinions are voiced. In the states, a liberal Arab will loose friends and cause family rifts if they don't hide their views. In some Arab countries they will be accused of being spies or collaborators with Israel, or tools of the States, and will be tortured or killed. If you look up Wafa Sultan on YouTube, you will find a very liberal Arab opinion.
