Help!!! Working with tourist Visa in Egypt lead to trouble in future?

Can someone help me attain a tourist visa to Egypt? I have less than 6 months on my passport.?

  • I found out that I must have at least 6 months left on my passport to get a tourist visa from Egypt. I only have 2 months left. I'm coming to Cairo tomorrow, 12 Feb at about 15:00. Can someone help me get a visa if the Egyptian immigration authorities won't grant me a tourist visa? I plan to be in Egypt for only 5 days. I'd really love to see Egypt and this was a spur of the moment travel. I know I should have planned earlier. But I'm hoping someone can help me. Thanks. Does anyone have experience with my situation? What happened? Did you get turned away and had to go back home? Or were the Egyptians very accomodating to your situation and wanted to welcome you? Thanks. I'm an American traveling to Cairo from Frnakfurt, Germany.

First , you will get you visa on the arrival airport in Cairo and if they will not give you the visa noone can help u.The visa cost 15$ and you pay it in the airport and with a good luck & "extra money" they will give it to you. They are usually friendly and they welcome you in Egypt. Second , why don't you call the embassy or directly to Cairo airport? They are the only one entitle to give you the correct answers! Good luck !

Egypt is a tourism country, You shall get the visa at the air port without any problems. They never look at the validity of your Passport at all, and as you mentioned here that you are going there for 5 days only or even a week, then you have no problems at all. Hey Remember that you are a US citizen and not an Arab, so there should be no problems there.
