What place do you ge married in Egypt?

    What do you mean he wont tell you were you will get maried?? Is he Muslim or Coptic or Neither? If you are a not an Egyptian citizen you will need to complete part of your marriage in the civil office so that the contract can be stamped and recognized by your embassy...Its a horrible office by the way. When I was there with my husband they ran out of office supplies and sent one of our wittnesses out to buy a glue stick. lool So if it isn't a church..then Maybe he is Muslim...but Are you Muslim also? I am guessing not. Please be careful...if he can't even tell you where you will get married, you need to be very careful. Some men here will marry to get a foriegn visa..not all...but there are many.

Best places to marry in Egypt are in Cairo (Hotels and Clubs) esp. of the Army , they do all arrangements neccessary for food and music and other ceremonies ! it's not expensive too (less than 3,000 CAD )

they're usually held in a mosque or church. sometimes people have it in a reception hall (like US people do). if they're poor, they might just have it outside the parents' apartments (in the street). also, some people are very liberal and have it in the middle of a public place without any fancy attire. beware! if he doesn't want to tell you, he's probably planning to have the wedding............in IRAQ!
