How do I make safe black henna?

How to make Henna more red?

  • I put henna in my hair because it's supposed to be good for the hair i think, but mostly i want to change my hair color its "too" black :) I want to get that kind of red tone to it. I have put henna twice already and my hair definitely is looking a deep reddish brown tone in the sun but I'm curious what to add to the henna to make the deep color red more noticable. I mix coffee with the powder but is there anything else i could add to make a richer color?? Also if there are any others who put henna for their hair how often do u put it? I put once a month :)

  • Answer:

Bring Pomegranate and cut it 4 quarters then put it in a pot with water and let them till boiling and then put the red water on Henna, that will make it more red. Good Luck. @Aldon lol i don't know everything i am just curious to know everything so i have a little experience about different subjects plus i like reading a lot about anything.

My sister put henna + "dam el 3'azal" (you can get it from any 3attar) it makes your hair red but also it makes your hand red so make sure to wear gloves or a plastic bag in your hands.

what a coincidence. I have just switched from chemical dye to henna just 2 months ago and I put henna once a month which is quite reasonable, but if u want to put it on ur hair every 2 wks that's still fine, as henna is harmless and healthy for the hair. I'm actually using it as hair treatment more than a color and I'm already getting great results.Make sure u use 100% pure henna. If u want ur henna to be more red on ur hair, u can add beet, hibiscus tea, or paprika. coffee will make it more brown or chocolate color than red. I know people who add onion peels to make it more reddish.

I use henna bout once a month, but coffee, tea, paprika, ginger, and other spices and foods like beet juice will not make a difference in hair color . I get great henna here, and love it, as you use henna more, the color will build up for you.http://www.hennacaravan.com/shop/hair.html If you have really dark black hair, it may never get as red as you like but repeated use helps a lot By using the best henna you can find, you will have better results, This has great dye content and works so well on me.
