Can manta rays body surf?

Is it worth taking a boat trip in Sharm el Sheikh?

  • This is for a particularly good snorkel site, for family really, to see manta rays/turtles/sharks? Also in April there, do we need body suits for swimming? And what is the jelly fish problem like ?

    there are great boat trips in Sharm you need the usual swim wear for swimming there are no jelly fish problems dont forget to take the Glass Boat to see the beauty of underwater wonders

Definitely, well worth it. I don't know if you'll see sharks and rays there - I didn't, but there were very good reefs and the best collection of reef fish I've seen. If you're confident in the water, forget the glass-bottomed boat. There are also one-day trips up to the Tiran Islands, which are also very good for snorkelling. You'll need some extra protection against the cold in the winter and spring, but in the summer and autumn you can snorkel in a swimsuit just fine. But do wear a rash vest to prevent sunburn and 'snorkeller's bum'. (Really painful when you go to sit down in the evening!) Enjoy!
