What is the best place to live /work for family of 5 in egypt?

  • we are a family of 5, my husband, 3 kids ( all under 8) and me. we are planning to move to egypt but not sure where to move. i heard we should move to cairo or alexandria but not sure. i have some college courses under my belt but i have no degree. i have a medical billing certificate and medical terminology cert. i have 5 years of customer service skills( in medical prior authorization & prescription knowledge) what part of egypt would be best in cost of living, short commute to work, wide job opportunities( i know that is a contradiction), close to supermarkets and things. i am homeschooling my children and im debating on doing the TEFL certificate with no degree. in american i make 2400 a month and we live on that here but i am use to living check to check and we always have everything we need.( and spend on things we dont need all the time) IS THERE ANY BLOGS OR PEOPLE IN EGYPT THAT I CAN KEEP IN CONTACT WITH.     Sorry to tell you that it's not the right move now unless you have much money to live a good life. There is a very high rate of unemployment in Egypt and the economy is not good. We starting to have many problems that makes many people want to leave, so at least if you can delay this move it would be better.

Know that if you move to Egypt one-fourth of your present salary will be the best you can reach. And I'm not even sure - the economy's really stagnated since I left last August. If you get a college degree and a company invites you to work or teach there, you will be paid like you are used to.
