    it is a long street with jewelers' shops on both sides . there are Moslem and Coptic jewelers . there are workshops in side streets . no one is poor there . it is the plce where gold is shaped and sold .

Poor coptic christian? well .. El sa3'a is usually a place where most Jewelery shops in your town/district are. Jewelery shop owners are usually christians and i dont think those are poor ones. They need people to work for them as dealers or such stuff. thats where normal christians usually work . same shop but in they are the ones dealing with the customers.

are u kidding me??!! elsa3'a means jewelry ... what do you expect?? if you are say3' (the one who sells jewels) you own a store with all kinds of bracelets, crosses, icons, chains, everything made of gold (white and yellow). It is true that most of them are Christians (i don't know why) and all of them are the richest of the rich. So again it is not for poor Christians but rich ones and it is not ONLY for Christians there are Muslims as well that work in that field but lets say they are about 10 to 20 percent of the total..

That statement is ironic on several levels..... Yeah, the only place a POOR member of a religious minority can find work in is in being a GOLDSMITH? Wow.... That's like saying, in the US, the only jobs available for poor Southerners is being members of congress.....
