How can i get better? (varsity cheer)?

I just made varsity cheer, but the routines are so hard! i feel like im the worst on the team, which has never happened. how can i make myself step up to the plate? we are doing practices twice a day and im always wiped out too! i just feel like i wont be preforming, since im not good even and thats so... embarrassing

I feel the same way ! Its going to be my senior year of high school and i'm not sure if i have the balls to try out again. I've cheered since my freshmen year, but i still feel like i suck. Try and just get a lot of sleep and eat a lot of healthy snacks during practice in stuff because when you have a lot of energy its easier to focus on routines and stuff. I have ADHD and i know when i'm not on med's i have trouble with routine's, so i don't know if that could be a problem for you or not. In your free time justtry and work on things step by step, and just keep adding on different parts of the routine until you've mastered it. I'm sure if you keeping working on it, it'll come and i'm sure your not the worst one haha. Another helpful hint, when practicing motions for routines, cheers, chants or w/e, try practicing your motions with small weights or soup cans because it'll make them look a lot cleaner.
